On Friday the 13th, we had an incredible dinner at *Sava*, a contemporary restaurant located in the heart of Minsk, Belarus. Known for its unique fusion of Asian, Indonesian, and Thai cuisines, Sava serves up dishes that are truly unforgettable. The flavors were amazing, and the atmosphere was equally impressive!
What makes Sava even more exciting is that after midnight, it transforms into a vibrant nightclub with a top-tier DJ, keeping the energy alive until 5 AM. Although we wrapped up our dinner around 9 PM and missed the nightclub vibe, the dining experience alone was worth it.
After dinner, we strolled over to a new spot just around the corner for a cozy nightcap. If you’re ever in Minsk, both places are must-visits!

Today is Friday the 13th in December. We're in Minsk, Belarus, and we just made reservations to
a brand new restaurant. It just opened this year, I think beginning of the summer,
and it's called Sava. And you're probably wondering, what are we doing? Where are we?
We had to find lighting. It's cold. Yeah, it's cold, but we had to find lighting
on their terrace because it was too dark in front of their building. But anyways, this is a
kind of like a, I wouldn't say Asian fusion, but it's definitely an Asian restaurant.
They serve like Thai food, Asian, Vietnamese food. So, and there's a really good, really good
atmosphere inside. At least that's what it looked like. Now, before it was Sava. They didn't want us.
It was, it was like a, a rock and roll bar, where they had, they had rock bands on the stage.
Completely different now. And we tried to come in, and they didn't want us. Oh yeah, during the summer,
yes, because it was the grand opening. I guess it was only the, the elite Belarusian. And you're not
an elite, honey. No. Okay. All right, so let's go. Let's go check it out. Oh yeah. Oh, nice and warm.
Hello.
Name?
Oh, you have a bigger one, yeah. This is nice. You like it? I like it. All right. All right, let's do it.
Okay, so we got, what did we get to drink? We got Blanche.
Blanche de Bruxelles. It's French, I guess, or, or Belgian.
15 rubles, which is about four and a half dollars. It's not bad, but for Belarus,
They finally gave us a table. Okay, so let's review the menu.
Okay, so we have starters, or let's go with oysters. Oh, it looks like there's no price
on the oysters. Because you have to ask. Of course, it's what they call market price.
They decide, they decide the price on that day.
Okay, starters. So, if you want cheese, whipped ricotta, marinated apple with olives,
65 rubles, which is about, that's under 20 dollars, probably 18, 19 dollars.
Tuna tartare with avocado puree, chofro ponzu, 35, 35 rubles, which is about,
it's about 10 dollars in today's prices. Octopus, 39, so it's about 11, 12 dollars.
Here we go, tempura. You can go with prawn with citrus aioli, 23 rubles, which is about
six, seven dollars. And if you want unagi sauce with that, that's 12 rubles,
which is about three and a half dollars, three dollars. The soups running anywhere from
27 rubles to 35 rubles, so anywhere from like eight, eight to ten dollars for soups.
Fish and meat, or meat, you can get halibut with spinach and oyster mushrooms for 43 rubles.
Which is about probably 13 dollars. Here we go with a beef steak,
truffle, mushrooms and potato with cabbage, 39 rubles, that's probably 13 dollars.
If you want vegetables and seafood, you can get a green salad with crab, avocado,
sesame sauce and unagi, 65, which is about 18, 19 dollars. Scallops with mashed potatoes,
coconut sauce, 47 rubles, which is about 14 dollars around. Crispy spring roll with prawn
and scallops with mango sauce, 35 rubles, which is about 10 dollars. So there we go.
I think I might get the halibut, or not get the halibut. What are you gonna get?
Maybe tom yum. Tom yum? Tom yum, soup tom yum. Oh, how much, how much is that? 35 rubles? 35.
Oh, okay. All right, let's do it. Okay, so what I'm gonna get, I'm gonna take my glasses off
to see better. I'm gonna get the steer steak, potato cream with spinach, 49 rubles, so it's
about 14 dollars. It's not bad. I think the steak's probably about this big though.
Okay, what are you gonna get? I'm gonna order tom yum. Tom yum? Tom yum, it's soap,
asian soap. Oh, asian soap. Do you know what's in it? Yes, it's seafood. Okay, and how much is it?
35 rubles. Oh, like 10 dollars, because the exchange rate is 3.49. Very good.
Okay, you order first.
Okay, and I'm gonna get the steer steak.
With potato, mushrooms, spinach. Okay.
Steak will be medium rare, okay? Medium rare is good, I like. That's my favorite. Okay, all right.
Nice bathroom. Again, loft style. Very, very popular in Belarus.
So, you know what I noticed about all the nice restaurants that are in Minsk?
They're all kind of loft style. So, you got the brick, you know, the brick right here.
You got the pipes, the ceiling, and you have the retro lighting,
and everything's kind of in black. I like it. I liked it. Okay, here's the cocktail menu.
So, they have these exotic cocktails. So, you got like burning pear,
smoked pear, tequila, tequila mezcal, caramel, 25 rubles. So, basically all of these
cocktails are 25 rubles, which is about, it's about seven, about seven dollars per cocktail
with the apparent exchange rate. You got a wonder fruit,
carpano bitter, mango. Oh, already. Oh, wow. Beautiful.
Wow, what's that, rice? Rice. And that's the soup? Yes.
And then here's my steer steak with potatoes and spinach, which came to about 14 dollars.
Not bad. Not bad. Not bad. We might come here again, honey. That's right, honey.
red bull vodka. Came to 152 rubles, which with the exchange rate is 43 dollars and 62 cents
U.S. dollar. So, not a bad, not, I mean, I think that's expensive for Belarusian,
or Belarusian standards, but for American, it's not. This, this meal would have cost
easily over 100 dollars. Okay, let's go.
Thank you. Spasiba. Thank you.
Oh, you have them? I'm full.
Okay, we just left Sava. It was very, very good experience. It's about, I don't know,
what time is it? It's like 9 40 right now. No. What time is it now? Nine. It's nine. No,
it's about 9 40. People don't start going there till like 10 o'clock, and I guess it's a full-on,
full-on nightclub at 12 o'clock at night. It closes at five, so not really our scene.
So, we're out of there, but that was a really good experience. You know, it was 43 dollars
for a meal and like four drinks. Not bad, not bad at all. So, what we're going to do now,
we're going to have a nightcap. We love nightcaps. So, there's a new bar, a new restaurant,
just around the corner that we just saw when we walked over here. We're going to go take,
take a look there, and once we get in, I'll let you guys join us.
So, how do you pronounce the new, this restaurant?
Oh yeah, okay. It's our first time coming in. Nice.
Okay.
Okay. Very nice, honey.
Okay, did a quick tour. Oh, they have brunch? Yeah. Oh, wow. This is brunch.
This is brunch, this is breakfast. What time, what time does it open in the morning?
Probably 10, maybe.
Oh, 11, okay. All right.
It's 10. Yeah. Oh, 10 o'clock. So, we got non-filter and you got filter.
This is actually a really nice restaurant. A lot of restaurants are opening up around Belarus,
around Minsk, I should say. So, I think Belarus is doing better. This is really nice.
Wood service, which is kind of hard to get in Belarus, and everyone's nice.
So, I have a handful of restaurants I like to go to, just for that very same reason,
you have to be nice and provide good service. And I think the last one, good service as well,
it's Sava. It's a good atmosphere. It's friendly. I like it. Yeah, it's nice.
So, they gave it, so they gave us a complimentary drink.
What is this here? This is borscht. Borscht.
All right, all right, let's do it, let's do it.
Okay, that was a little strong. It's really borscht.
You can do it. Oh, what can I say? You just said, we just left the last,
to say we're at the end of the video. You can do it. Okay, let's try. What are you going to say?
I don't know. All right. Okay, one, two. We just left the last restaurant,
pure Russian restaurant. We really like it. It's pure Russian food. Maybe we will come to breakfast
or brunch. They have nice, nice food. And we go, I have customer. I go to meet my customer.
And go to maybe another bar.
Okay. Well, I'm going to wait for Katya. Okay. See you the next week.
We will go maybe another pure Russian restaurant. See you. Bye-bye. Ciao. Okay, ciao.
