A lot has changed for katya and me. We moved to USA, Katya received her green card, and I landed a job that brought us to Helena, Montana. In the life update, I'm sharing where we are now and how our new chapter in America is coming together. Thanks for following our journey.

What's up guys? Welcome back to Allotic Ventures.
Today I'm back in Minsk. It's been 16 months
since I've been in Minsk and I just thought I'd give
an update on Kati and I. So Kati and I left
Minsk June of 2023. So it's been about 16 months
and the reason why we left because I got bored.
i got bored um no job nothing uh i just got bored
so i was like katya do you wanna you wanna move
to the us get your green card start working there
and improve your english she said yes let's do it
so that's what we did uh she got her visa first uh for the second time
so that she can actually
go back to to the to the united states
and work on her on her green card so anyways we applied
it took about took a little almost a year before she got
her green card we had a few hiccups
uh probably because we didn't get a lawyer
and i was i was the lawyer i relied on chat gpt which
was which is wonderful it's an amazing tool
so probably better than a lawyer in some aspects
so anyway she got her she got her green card in the meantime
while while she was applying for her
green card and waiting for it I started applying for jobs
and I got one offer
lost out in a couple where we could have moved to Texas
and Arizona and Missouri
but we ended up on an offer from Helena Montana
so I went back into
telecom so it's one of the major telecom companies
in in the United States and we
ended up moving to Helena Montana
which is where we live right now we moved
there in December of last year
so we haven't been there quite one year so
we've been getting acclimated to Montana we love it there
but I am getting
promoted we're going into another role more
of a strategic role for government
education in the western states
so my parents actually live in Idaho so we we
opted to move we're gonna be moving back
to Idaho we were we're in Idaho with my
parents the first six
or seven months being back in the US my parents are
getting up there
so I did I asked my my company if I could actually relocate
back to Boise they said okay
so looks like Katia and I will be relocating to
Boise in about mid-December
but in the meantime exciting news for Katia she was
able to get a job actually someone just offered her a job
and we and she was
like you know I'm only gonna be here
a few more months a few more months and
they go that's fine
so Katia is getting work experience in Montana which is
really really good for her it's good for her English
and they don't pay her they
pay her pretty good actually not bad
so that's kind of where we're at and in the
meantime our improvements on our property are almost almost done the
bathroom was completed
so I decided to come back come back to Minsk Katya still
in the US you know come back to the US to Minsk
and kind of finish up the
apartment because we're gonna we're gonna go ahead
and rent it out you know
we did the we did brand new floors upstairs
and downstairs brand new walls
ceiling new kitchen new bathroom new lighting
so it's looking a lot different
we're not we're not done yet
but it's looking a lot it was kind of artsy there
was an artist that owned it before before us
which was kind of famous this
famous apartment that they rented out airbnb
but we completely gutted it and it looks completely
different looks like a loft now so uh and then
also i have to get a power of attorney because
katya is going to be coming back in january
to register in her name the apartment turns out if
if an expat is registered we get the highest rate
for utilities so so uh if a local is
registered,
then it's about a third of the cost for our gas and our
electricity. So that's what we're gonna do.
So in January that will happen and
then she'll come back.
So yeah, I'm excited to be back here in
Minsk. It's beautiful.
Yesterday was kind of cold, but today is sunny and it's
about it's about 20 degrees
or about 65 fahrenheit so uh yeah
so while i'm here i'm going to do a few
videos this is the first one i'll do two more i've
been doing some video shorts probably did about
six uh during the week but what i'll
do is i'll give you guys a little tour tour of our apartment
so you can see the changes i'll i'll throw some pictures
of what it used to look like
uh you know when we purchased it um also i'll
do a video around around our neighborhood uh with a
right off Karl Marx or Engels a um and then i might i might
do one with uh some restaurants and bars
and all that but uh yeah so a little little update
there i hope i hope you guys appreciate it i know
we haven't uh we haven't really been posting a lot uh
and to be honest uh it's i don't feel very
comfortable going around with my camera in Montana.
There's a bunch of cowboys there so
I mean I don't think they would mind.
We've done it but it's not like you know doing a video in
Boise or Boston or a lot of people don't care.
There's not a lot of tourists or there's been
locals that live there all their life
so I feel a little uncomfortable videotaping but I'm back in
Minsk and excited. We're probably going to rent it out.
That's what we're getting ready to do is
rent it out. And our plan is to work five years,
five to seven years in the United States and then
rent out this apartment during those five years
and then come back and live here and then just
travel so that that's
our plan right now it could change could change so uh anyways
i hope you appreciate the update
if you have any questions just you know go ahead and uh
you know type it type them in i'll get back to you until next time ciao
