Trainspotting or Trespassing? VIA, GO, CN, and Amtrak at Bayview Junction
One of Canada's busiest rail hotspots, Bayview Junction is where CN’s Dundas, Oakville, and Grimsby Subs converge — just west of Toronto and near the U.S. border at Buffalo.
In this video, I captured VIA Rail, GO Transit, CN freight, and the Amtrak Maple Leaf — all from a single location.
But here's the question: was I technically allowed to be there?
We’ll look at where I stood, how I accessed the site, and what I now understand about easements, right-of-way, and CN Police.
Trains featured:
• VIA Rail Corridor
• GO Transit Lakeshore West
• CN freight (multiple consists)
• Amtrak Maple Leaf
