Autumn Freight and VIA Ventures | Railfanning Canning, Ontario

We spent an autumn afternoon railfanning near the small town of Canning, Ontario. It’s a quiet backroad bridge with almost no traffic, just the sound of wind and the occasional train.

Caught two VIA Rail Venture sets — one eastbound, one westbound — with a bonus CN freight in between. The light, the color, and the timing made for one of those rare sessions where everything just lined up.
