SketchUp: Proud Halflap Shelving System

SketchUp time! I want to make a functional shelf that maximizes storage for my daughter's room. Instead of a basic utility style, I want it to look a little bit visually interesting. To do so, the joinery will be half lap joints and I'll leave everything proud to create many different planes and "levels" to the joint. It's a simple change that can drastically change the way a piece looks.
