History-Makers: Voltaire's Satire Masterpiece
Modern Philosophy is way more fun when the author is willing and able to be Hilarious.
SOURCES & Further Reading:
Voltaire's "Candide" translated by Theo Cuffe with an introduction by Michael Wood. The Penguin Books edition not only has a very funny cover page, but it has very helpful footnotes that explain many of Voltaire's references throughout the book. It's my preferred version.
