Chinese Traditional Story: The Consequences of Not Heeding Wise Advice

During the Song Dynasty, two men named Shenquan and Shiyong lived in Qian Tang, Zhe Jiang Province. They made their living by catching frogs. In the first year of Zheng He of Song Huizong, the two men moved to Ling Zhi County. Since no one in Ling Zhi had caught frogs before, the animals were abundant in Ling Zhi. Shenquan and Shiyong tried their best to catch as many frogs as they could, and asked their sons to sell them in the city. Their efforts were very profitable, and they earned ten times more money than they had when they lived in Qian Tang. The more money they made, the harder they worked to catch even more frogs.
