Chinese Traditional Story: The Gods Test Virtue

This story happened to a farmer named in the year of Hongzhi during the Ming Dynasty. He lived in Heshun County of Shanxi Province. He was a kind-hearted man and always gave other’s help when he had time. One day, while he was hoeing in the fields, he felt tired and fell asleep at the edge of the field. He soon drifted off to sleep. In his dream, he saw the head of the judicial court in the underworld.
