'Kurikulum Merdeka' provides educators with the freedom to create quality learning that is in accordance with the needs and learning environment of students.

Each school is given the opportunity to compile its Educational Unit Operational Curriculum (KOSP) based on the characteristics of the region and local potential.
The Purwakarta Regency Education Office encourages the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka by presenting a priority program for ecological schools that are implemented at SDN and SMPN Ekologi Kahuripan Padjajran Purwakarta.

Simply put, ecological schools can be interpreted as an approach to implementing the preservation and maintenance of nature through the internalization of cultural values ​​and social values ​​of the community which are manifested in the form of an educational curriculum in the aspects of intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular learning in realizing ecological awareness and intelligence. The ecological school curriculum which is compiled based on ecological values, social values ​​and cultural wisdom values ​​of the community is manifested through meaningful learning with Pancaniti-based learning methods.
