HIGHLIGHTS | Costa Adeje Tenerife vs. Atlético de Madrid (Liga F 2024-25 Matchday 12)

They'll have competition again this season. It's hard to drum up any expectation of a title race in Spain. These days Barcelona are so far ahead presently than every team in Spain, let alone their nearest challengers Real Madrid. Benitez with a bit of pace. Not sure if it was a shot or a cross. It matters not either way. Ramos is comfortable clutching. She's signalling generosity here. Surely too far out for an effort. It's a great cross and it's a wonderful save. Ramos down in a flash. It won't stick for Quiroz. She battles hard, battles successfully. Then it comes Tenerife's way with Pisco. Babagidi always available on the left. She's tricky. The end product is snuffed out by Morassa but it's won back brilliantly by Babagidi who pokes it in. She could barely have been closer to goal but Babagidi is thinking outside the box. That is absolutely sublime from the forwards. Scorer against Barca last time out and now Tenerife leads Atletico Madrid. It's all her own work. They've had three in their last six games at Atletico Madrid including against Eibar and Espanyol. That doesn't meet the threshold for what they want. Tenerife come forward at the second half and it's headed over by Coco who's a constant pest. She's not the tallest. Benitez's deliveries haven't put any offers on a plate so far. That one is teasing on in in slow motion Atletico Madrid level and Benitez finally with a delivery that's nodded home. It towards Babagidi again but it comes out to a stay up. There's Coco for help. She wants the angle straight down the throat. Gallardo saw it all the way. Good effort from Cinta Rodriguez. LeBart for Silvia Lloris on a booking. Luani and a fortunate clip off Rodriguez's heels means that's another Atletico corner. Pisco to take the corner for Tenerife. Another good delivery and Ambicio unable to flick it goalwards. Well that's a great save to Danai Blanca. Strong wrist from Gallardo. They've responded really well to the concession. Tenerife have grown back into the game after a strong start to the second half from Atletico. Well read by Gallardo. They did win this fixture 2-1 last season though. Atletico haven't won here in five years. The bounce is onto the bar eventually from Azraoui. She's had a good impact on the game since coming on. Terrible defending from Atletico. Past three players before it reached the sub. Atletico had to battle hard to claim a point against Eibar last week and they go on and claim a winner here on the island. Jensen smothered by Biccio comes to Jensen again. Well she was the one initially carving out the chance not the way I think she expected it to fall back to her. That's an opening no doubt about it. There's Coco again. Brilliant touch and the finish is not there. Azraoui spun her marker supremely and at the moment Tenerife are looking like the more likely to find the winner. Look at that strength from Azraoui to fend off Perez. Warren forward. Atletico must notice the clock now. Morassa's cross. Good header from behind. It's the left back forward. Anuris nods Atletico Madrid in front. Two headers, two goals for the visitors. Only chance for Tenerife to level. Two and a half to play on the island. Beltran's ball. Back in towards Jose Perez. Atletico Madrid lose their nerve and Tenerife battle back for a point. A point that they deserve beyond all doubt. First of the season for the 40 year old. All hands on Atletico's deck for a point. It's a good ball. Might come to Rodriguez. It's nodded down by Loran and that is the last action of a pulsating encounter between Tenerife and Atletico Madrid.
