It's going to be Sevilla who will kick from left to right in this first period.
They get us underway and can they repeat their feat of last season in upsetting
the odds and winning here at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium.
Kante though on the attack with very few players forward.
They did eventually gamble as Gimigeli broke into the box.
Medea Bidas also playing a more advanced role today for the visitors and it's Medea who tries
to make the run. They're almost found but they do get into the box here and an effort comes in on
goal. It's on target too from Lucia Corrales. They'll build again from midfield with Galvez.
It's time to work it down the right hand side. Navarro. Great ball play through on the overlap
and across towards the far post. Needed a touch there. Just over the top of Senior Brood.
Oh and now the opportunity might break here and it is and it's the first clear cut chance
and it's Sheila Garfia who capitalises. A delightful finish
and the first meaningful opportunity of this game. Esther Celestres is beaten.
Lupoles works it into the channel. Cross is cleared away but it's relentless pressure at
the moment. It's Toletti. A little give and go. Toletti into the box and a nice swivel turn
from Brood. Toletti shoots and it's into the far corner and over the goalkeeper.
Wonderful build-up play and Sandy Toletti makes it too. Second goal of the season for her.
Now what a finish too from the experienced French international.
But what a build-up this was as well. Late downfield by Celestres. Straight back they
come with Caicedo. Caicedo does shoot this time. It took a deflection and it's beyond
Esther Celestres the three. Well you fear for Sevilla at the moment because it's wave after
wave of attack and goal after goal too. It's Linda Caicedo this time and her goal had certainly
been coming. Toletti and Caicedo all in a 10-minute burst midway through the half.
Either side of it as an effort from distance comes in. Oh my words. We're talking about good goals.
That blows the others out of the water. Might well be goal of the season from Senior Broon.
It's 4-0. There is no way back now for Sevilla. Sheer class from the Denmark international.
It's Corrales who plays it back. Composed from Diana Gomez and that's a great ball play through
for Kante. It was Redondo who set her on her way but really really good covering. Mila Lakra
got hurt in the process but it was a really important intervention because it's well the
first time tonight really that Sevilla have found a way to get in behind the defence. The flag stayed
down. Alicia Redondo with a great pass through for Fatou Kante. Oh and that was a poor pass and it
puts them under pressure and suddenly four players are breaking and it's an opportunity for number
five. It was unselfish and Navarro's shot is blocked by a brilliant bit of defending.
Not too dissimilar to the one at the other end just as the player went to pull the trigger and
get the shot away. Cortez stands over this free kick. It's over the wall. Oh and it's only just
over the crossbar too. Just needed to dip a little earlier but whipped over the ball.
Looks that way although Corrales is standing around too as the cross comes in. It's flicked
on and it's flashed just wide at the post. So so unlucky there Fatou Kante. Got the faintest of
touches. Maybe not a touch at all. Sevilla meanwhile away to Granada. A side who they've
already faced and been beaten by 3-0 just a few weeks ago. That'll take place two weeks today
as the ball's headed goalwards off the crossbar of the post even and it's headed in for a
consolation. She's only been on the pitch for two minutes. Alba Lopez gets a goal back for Sevilla.
Real Madrid contriving to gift the visitors a goal here. They switched off. It wasn't pretty.
That's Sevilla. They do have a goal. The header from Mila Lacra coming back off the post.
Caroline Weir goes for it with the left foot of the back of a defender Navarro.
Second opportunity for Caroline Weir who squares it across but no one there.
I say they will keep the ball in play and a shot from the edge of the box comes in.
Oh and a brilliant save. Issa Silastris had to readjust her body at the very last moment to
make the save there. Almost another brilliant goal laid off on the edge of the box. Oh it takes
a deflection through. No flag. Almost a chance for Lacra to score there. Goalkeeper stays grounded.
It was a brave save from Silastris there. Lovely pass into the feet of Caroline Weir.
Checks inside and then drags the effort wide. Did the hard bit to dance in between two defenders
there to get the shot away. In the end though on a weaker right foot puts it wide of the target
and I would imagine that's going to be the last meaningful action of this
second period. So we enter the final 10 seconds of time added on. A dominant first half performance
was enough for Real Madrid as they bounce back from their humiliating defeat to Barcelona 17 days ago.
