The Day Lionel Messi Showed Cristiano Ronaldo Who Is The Boss and Destroyed Real Madrid

Clubs would tend to observe as Xavi has an extravaganza again. Di Maria, Ronaldo. Here for Messi. Mikopoulou lays that, wait for the right time to try and pinch it. Villas hits! Too far away. That's a decent strike from David Villa. Here goes Messi. Holding off Diarra. Messi with Alves. And Xavi. And Messi. And Xavi. And Pedro. Going towards Keita. And James. At Lille in the last 16. Here's Messi. Threatening that record as he habitually insulted Mourinho last week by calling him a trophy winning manager. I don't think that's not a bad thing to do. They're also squeezing and pushing as well. Sweet feet from Di Maria. Messi, good strong turn. Held off Diarra. Messi. Skidded away from a pair of them. And rolled it in here for Xavi! Good stop, Casillas. Gorgeous pass. Brilliant ball again, wasn't it? Ronaldo. Arbela is offside. Pedro. That's lovely from Ronaldo. Who has Ramos at his back. As well as Arbela. Good in between them to get the job done. Let's try again with Gabriel Clarke. Gabriel. Well, these are points about Ronaldo who's not looking happy. It has to be said. Not impressed with this tactical master plan. To stick and not... Thrills and entertainment at its heart. But with... Xavi. Adventurous hit. She's never really afraid. Yeah, after good patient build-up, that's a waste from Xavi. Messi. Clear of Pepe. In for Villa. Cover from Albiol. Real Madrid with shouting handball. Matters little. Goal kicked in. Lucky. Good little spot again. It's Pepe's header. Alves. Caught on it by Marcelo. Di Maria. Had a bit of him again. Ronaldo. Ozil. Alves. Had his collar felt by the referee. And by... Ozil. And there's another event. Off the ball. Near the halfway line. Champions of Europe. And here comes Barca with Messi. Fueling their crowd. Villa inside of it this time. Messi's wriggled between a pair. Messi. Villa. Messi going in there. And Albiol. Ronaldo. Into that corner. Ronaldo. It's a cleaner try. Came back off the goalkeeper. Ozil. Against Valdez. And Ramos into the crowd. Big chance for Messi. Halftime. It is a battle alright. Familiarity. Contempt. Feistiness. Twitchiness. Nervousness. Pedro's delivery for... Messi. Messi again. Dabbed over the top for Keita. Ronaldo. Tottenham are ahead of Valdez. Ronaldo. Against Puyol. Ronaldo again. Messi chose to get on with it. Why wouldn't they? Won't stay fed. This little guy. Messi. He's done tumbling over Ramos. And out comes the card. And Ramos misses the second leg. Pounced upon by Xavi Alonso. Another hit by Pepe. That's the problem we have. Other than deliberate. Pepe's goal.
