HIGHLIGHTS | Napoli vs. Juventus (Serie A Femminile Matchday 8)

Away we go then. Matchday 8 in Italy. Good international break for the Italian national side. They beat Malta 5-0, drew 1-0 against Spain in two friendly matches. Back to club action. Playing well so far, Napoli. One win, two draws and four defeats. That's what they have at the moment. Almost an opening goal there for Mathilde Lundorff. It's Jelcic. Beagle wins it. Mascherino has to clear. From Beagle for Bonanzea. Pulled back by Giordano, but an advantage played here. Bonanzea making good ground. Nice dummy. Great run. Oh, was that a handball? It surely was. Superb play by the captain. Nani Aventis have a penalty. The ball has been handed to Cristiana Girelli. Three goals in the league this season. One of them was from the penalty spot. Beatrice Beretta. Nani Aventis have the lead. Cristiana Girelli. Leading goal scorer in Juve's history. Well over 100 goals for the club now. And she has her fourth of the season. Cascarino. Kalli Garis of the French defender Cascarino again. Ball forward towards Girelli. Di Marino tries to slow her down. Anna Benison now, off the post. What a strike that was. Benison, that's two goals for Juve already. One in the league. Almost a second there. Bonanzea. The defence is backtracking. Krumbegel in support. And Toma at the back post. Unable to turn it in. Nancy Toma scored in both wins over Napoli last season. And also over the summer. Andres and Tessa Vulat, among the players they brought in. Krumbegel now. Bonanzea, real chance here. And a good save from Beretta. Krumbegel was unselfish. Bonanzea had plenty of time. Silver medallist at the Tokyo Olympics. There's Kalli Garis. Benison towards Girelli. Good lay-off. Bonanzea. On target again. So even worse for Napoli. Because Chante Tompik got the only goal in that game in the 92nd minute. Advantage played here. Lehmann for Toma. Krumbegel at the back post. And Krumbegel will score. Well, those two almost combined for a goal earlier in the half. This time, roles were reversed. And Toma was able to find Paulina Krumbegel. Juventus had nine shots in the end. Four on target in the first half. Napoli with just two. Lehmann trying to help it on quickly. Girelli using Toma. Now Schatzer. Krumbegel. Oh, that's turned goalwards. And a really good save in the end. It was Schatzer who came close. Beretta pushing it behind. And it's Chiara Beccheri picking up on Schatzer. Now Caruso coming through. Oh, there's another penalty. Caruso went down with a bit of a yelp. The referee again had a good view of this one. It would be three points in the bag for Juventus. It was Pettinuzo who stuck a foot in. And it's Caruso taking over on the penalty. And she scores. Well, just like Girelli in the first half, Caruso rifles one into the bottom corner. Beretta guessing the right way again. And Caruso just off the bench with Girelli leaving the field. Beccheri carrying down on goal. Di Marino backing off. And it's a go-end product, which is unusual for Chiara Beccheri because she was a real danger for Sassuolo last season on loan. Mascherino lost it briefly because Kulber has won it back for Juve. Well, very impressive from Juventus. Napoli gave it their best shot early on, but Christiane Girelli scored a penalty after nine minutes. That sent Kanzi's side on their way. Paulina Krumbegel's goal. Well, that gave them a real lift going in at the break. And then Ariana Caruso came off the bench to score from the spot with 20 minutes remaining. And Juventus pick up a seventh win from eight to go with one draw. It was an imposing display from them.
