Bitter cold late season January hunt. Single digit mornings and wind chills close to zero.Three weeks recovering from a back injury and a good friend allowed me to come to his hunting paradise to whack a late season doe. Passed on several doe early season, and almost ended up with no backstraps or salami. Shot was about 18 yards. Deer never moved a muscle till the arrow was in the ground behind it. That rarely happens. Ozcut Chinese knock off broadheads performed great. Great price and tough as nails, stainless steel double bevel with tanto tip. Survived a pass thru and ground impact ZERO DAMAGE.
That's insane.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, there's like 10 of them.
And there's something about 5 of them in there.
That's insane.
There's a few up here closer too.
2, 7, 4, 5, 6, 7,
He's wondering what's happening.
Let me get off the table.
Golly, that sucker sunk in the ground.
It went in the ground about 4 inches.
Oh yeah.
Got blood, a big streak of blood on it.
Here it is.
Oh yeah.
He's right here.
So it should have come out in the shoulder.
Because as he was angled that way,
it should have come out the other side of the shoulder.
Let me see where it came out at.
It must have come out here in the chest somewhere.
I don't see that.
It stuck about 4 inches in the ground.
Is that where it came out?
I think so.
He did the stagger.
It was unreal.
So this is the inner tenderloin.
Let that heat up quickly and then turn it down.
Put a little butter in here.
Swish it around.
Add to taste.
Keep it from sticking.
These are the inner tenderloins of that little dough.
Cook that about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Kind of a medium.
You can overcook wild game real easily.
Because it's got so little fat in it.
We'll cook it about 3-4 minutes and flip it.
And then eat it.
Put a little salt on there.
Turn it down a little bit.
Keep it cooking.
Ok, that's 4 minutes.
Time it for another 4 minutes.
Flip it.
Yummy.
Ok, we turn this off.
He's been cooking about 8 minutes.
4 minutes to a side.
He's pulled the magic in.
Sweet brown sugar.
We'll let that cook another minute or two.
And we'll pull him out and eat him.
Alright, we've got her sliced up.
Just slightly rare in the middle.
Try a little piece.
There you go.
