How to Make The Dirty Vodka Martini - Best Drink Recipes

This is Best Drink Recipes, and I'm Eli Mountrey. We're going to make the classic dirty vodka martini. And to do that, we're going to need six ounces of vodka, which we have already laid out here in these shot glasses, some olive juice, which is the agent that makes it dirty. And we're going to use 0.25 of an ounce of that to do this with. And a little dry vermouth, and I'll show you why we're going to use this in just a second. You can see we already have our cocktail glass chilling with ice and soda water in it. So that lets us go ahead and put ice in our shake. So before we pour the alcohol in and dilute it over the ice, we're going to go ahead and empty our glass and use this dry vermouth here and just swish it around and basically coat the inside rim of the glass. Afterwards, we're just going to get rid of it. It's too much. It's too dry. It's too bitter. Nobody likes it like that. So we just do just enough that gives us that edge that we want. Then we're going to put in our vodka. We're going to follow it with 0.25 ounces of this olive juice. Now, if you want it really dirty, put in half an ounce, but no more than that or it will become undesirable, shall we say. Let's go ahead and give it a shake for about 7 to 10 seconds. That's good. And we're going to put in three olives. You don't have to have three, but that's traditional. Put inside to reduce the splash as we're straining and pouring. And this is your classic dirty vodka martini. Now, if you really want to take it to the next level, I'm going to recommend taking a lemon wedge and squeezing it in there. Now, I'm not going to drop the whole thing in because it just ends up looking like a dead guppy. Nobody likes that in their drink. So I'm just going to discard of this, but this little citron really makes this an incredible, delightful martini, the dirty vodka martini. Thanks for watching Best Drink Recipes. We'll see you next time.
