In this restaurant service training video we are focusing on WINE SERVICE and how to open a wine bottle! Presenting and opening bottle of wine could be stressful for a new waiter or beginner waitress and it could be embarrassing if you are doing it for a first time in front of the guests! I strongly recommend that you practice wine opening at home as soon as you know that you are starting a job as a waiter/waitress! There are cheap wines and you can buy a bottle for 2$ just to open it, not necessary to drink it! Another way to practice is to open all the bottles of wine when there is a banquet at the restaurant and those bottle have to be open anyway! Just make sure you are doing it the right way, not the lazy way! Use this chance to practice wine opening like you are doing it in front of the guests! The topic of wine is huge and very important for anyone who wants to make a living working as a restaurant server! In this particular video we are covering only the basics of wine!
