Georg Phillip Telemann composed 50-60 operas, over 600 overtures and a vast number of smaller pieces for voice. He also composed passion music, jubilee, coronation and inauguration music and much, much more... Telemann was regarded as the greatest prolific composer Germany has ever had. In this respect, he even surpassed Alessandro Scarlatti, who was renowned for this.
