我們現在在埃及國家博物館， 這個博物館有110多年的歷史，阿里時代，有一個法國的考古學家奧古斯特· 馬里埃特建議蓋大博物館來保存文物。

We are now in the National Museum of Egypt, which has a history of more than 110 years. In the Ali era, a French archaeologist, Auguste Mariette, suggested building a large museum to preserve cultural relics.

這是埃及國家博物館唯一的複製品拉希德石碑（Rosetta Stone)，它的原件在盧浮宮（網上說大英博物館），1799年由法軍上尉皮埃爾在埃及的海港城市拉希德發現這塊石碑。

它的上面刻有古埃及象形文字，世俗體及希臘文字，讓考古學家得以解讀出已經失傳千年的埃及象形文字的意義和結構，被稱為“埃及的鑰匙”。
