I made a big big mistake in this drawing, but it evolved, because I found it interesting to do it.
And that's really how we create new shapes, that we stylize a drawing, that we take inspiration from reality and therefore develop our artistic style.
Hi, I'm Kyoong, and in this video I will explain to you why it is interesting not to always draw what you see and sometimes to break the rules.
We will therefore draw a model naked and stylize some proportions.
And let's go, I'm sorry it's a bit dark, it's because I draw with a very light blue mine, as a sub-layer.
I will talk about this in three videos, how I do my drawing process, that is to say the layers that I make to draw the living model.
So if you're interested and don't stop this video, don't forget to subscribe.
So to draw already, I'll give you a little overview without going into too much detail.
So I draw a female model already, and so I place the clavicle, the volume of the head, then I place the thoracic cage, the pelvis,
obviously the ribs of Rayleigh, that is to say, you see the triangle that starts from the joints of the clavicle and the arm,
the small two points that I made on the shoulders that go up to the pelvis area of the lady.
And so it really allows you to focus on the whole body, and also I marked the center of the thoracic cage.
Then the arm as you can see, it's just a kind of curve, two parallel curves, it's at the level of the gestural drawing,
that is to say that we are already starting a gestural basis, that is to say that we are mainly looking for the movement and not the resemblance of the form.
Then I do the breasts, I don't explain too much, but if you want to see how to draw breasts really well, it's the previous video from yesterday on how to draw the breasts, simply, of the woman's body.
I really invite you to watch it because the bigger it is, the bigger it is, the more people make mistakes.
And so here you see, I made the underlayment and I redraw over it with a pencil.
In fact, blue allows me to draw without erasing, that is to say that when you have a drawing that is too built to the same value, you can get lost.
Which means that it's easier to have blue and gray, it allows you to identify yourself in a much simpler and more effective way.
Then here I only draw the limit between the light and the shadows, that is to say that I separate the parts, I separate the edges, and there I already start to stylize.
We stylize really well on the outside and we go inside more and more.
You have the shapes that are the most visible at first glance, and the shapes that are the most visible are obviously the shapes of shadows.
Try to see the shadows as a shape, and when you stylize these shapes, it creates a style.
It's a realistic style, of course, but realistic means in proportions, of course.
And it's not drawn in a realistic way, well, unlike in a hyper-realistic way where we will also draw the same shades.
Often people make this mistake, I invite you to watch the video in the link of this description, it takes you to a page to learn how to draw characters.
And by putting your email, you get a little 30-minute course to learn how to draw characters like a professional.
Then you see, I draw the shadows here, we always separate the light and the shadows, we draw more and more.
And as you can see, I already structured my background drawing with the blue pencil, it's a polychromos pencil.
It's a sky blue, I don't know what it's called, I don't really care about the colors, but it's just a light blue that I like.
Which is not very visible to the camera, that's why I contrasted the image a little bit and that's why it's a little dark, I apologize.
But it's either the video or to make me comfortable to draw, I like this blue so I stay in this blue, I apologize.
Then you see, as I already drew the construction lines for the breasts behind, I just have to redraw over it.
And at the level of the shadows, remember that the shadows are here, they are very important because they are soft shadows.
And if you don't know what soft shadows are, I'll make a video later, I explained a little bit in the videos on the channel, but it wasn't done in terms of videos made for it, so I'll do it later.
In any case, if you are one of my coaches, it will happen, don't worry, it will happen at the end of coaching, that's why it's after 3 months.
In fact, my coach, he has the training, he learns to make the shadows, it's only at the end that we make the shadows, because often beginners tend to go into the shadows too quickly.
And inevitably, I'm here to chain him up a little bit and for him to master the drawing well before making the shadows.
And you will see that often the shadows, you draw them much faster and easier by delaying the shading precisely.
Here you see, I don't know if you can see the mistake I made, but here it's mostly at the level of the thighs.
I always draw big thighs because I like it, especially on sitting poses, it's not that I like it, it's because I like to do it because it balances the composition.
Even if I was often criticized for drawing big thighs, it never bothered me because it's my style, I like to give volume to this part there, I don't know why.
Maybe it's an aesthetic taste, or a taste I don't know what, but often we have this ugly tendency to stylize parts of the body.
There are people who like to draw people with big pecs, I like to draw people with women with big thighs, but it's not wide to be wide, but it's wide to balance the composition.
As I said in the previous video with men, I also draw men with big thighs, it's because when we have a sitting position, I often find that there is a visual imbalance between the upper part of the body and the lower part of the body.
Especially here, she had a fairly large chest, it's a woman with a fairly large chest, so I think she's a singer because when you have a large chest, you can breathe very, very hard.
So she was wide, but with very thin legs, so it had an imbalance, so I widened her thighs, so when you widen your thighs, you have to put a little fat in your buttocks.
And if I think I should have drawn the hands a little bigger, I don't know, I don't know what you think, don't hesitate to put your opinion on my drawings, don't hesitate, if I make mistakes or according to you, what would you have done?
So it's an opportunity to give your opinion.
We mark a little bit more the face, and to give the impression that we are diving, that's why you see the lower part of the jaw is much darker than the area.
And the lower part of the body is very thin, that's why I rebalanced it, I think, because she still has mastoc shoulders, and of course, the wider the thoracic cage, the more air we have, it's easier to swim.
I also did the test, it's the best graphite pencils to draw in black and white, the video is called like that, so you can see it on my channel, it's super interesting, I do the test of the Stradler pencils which are the best on the market for me.
Bye !
