In 1406 AD, Zhu Di, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, projected the Chinese concept of heaven into the design and construction of the city of Beijing. Starting in the south of the old Beijing city, there was the Tianshiyuan that symbolized people's lives, and then the Tianshiyuan that symbolized the management of the people. Taiweiyuan, and finally Ziweiyuan who rules. Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty hoped that through such a building that corresponds to astronomy, he can achieve the goal of lasting generations.

There is evidence of the use of fire in Beijing about 500,000 to 800,000 years ago. Where fire existed, there was civilization. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that Beijing is an ancient historical city.

The 600-year history of the Forbidden City began with the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty of China. He began to build the city of Beijing in 1406 AD. At that time, he projected the Chinese concept of heaven into the design and construction of the city of Beijing. This concept is divided into three structures: "life", "management" and "ruling". From the geographical location of the Centennial Forbidden City, the southernmost "Tianshi Yuan" symbolizes "life", the middle place is "Taiwei Yuan" which represents "management", which is today's "Tiananmen Square", and the last is The ruler's place is called "Ziweiyuan".

Today we are going to visit this century-old Forbidden City, starting from "Tiananmen Square". This place in the Centennial Forbidden City is called "Thousand-step Corridor". It is a longitudinal walkway leading to Tiananmen Square, with towering walls on both sides of the walkway. Outside the walls of the Centennial Forbidden City, there were various government agencies.

At the northern end of the "Thousand-Step Corridor" of the Centennial Forbidden City, there is a horizontal street called Chang'an Avenue. In this part of the Centennial Forbidden City, there were originally two symbolic gates, called Chang'an Left Gate and Chang'an Right Gate. In the century-old Forbidden City era, some important ceremonies were held here.
