On a happy day like this, we found that even a Cardinals fan is invited into the victorious Rangers family.

To understand the pageantry and the
passion and the emotion of all of this.
And why so many people would
line so many Arlington streets,
you have to meet people like Leah
Jimenez and her golden glitter sign.
Or Naomi Dodds, a true Blue Rangers fan.
Three screaming boys from Grandview.
Stephanie Hayes from Arlington exactly.
Oh, I'll be screaming my tush off.
Or Beto Padilla from East Dallas.
He got here at 3 AM.
It's not even about me.
Honestly, it's about the whole city.
We deserve this.
So for an organization and its fan base
that both deserve this long overdue day,
they stood and cheered for every Rangers
player who paraded by with their
families in the back of pickup trucks.
The loudest cheers for Adoles Garcia.
Corey Seeger and his MVP trophy.
Manager and Savior Bruce Bochy.
With the trophy that took
five decades to win.
But in all this joy we found one problem.
Your photographer should not wear
his favorite Saint Louis Cardinals
had the team that beat the Rangers
in their last World Series.
My neighbor is a Cardinals fan and he
even felt bad for the Rangers that year.
We put the hat away just in case.
But on a happy day like this,
even a Cardinals fan is invited into
the now victorious Rangers family.
We welcome you open arms.
You want a hat?
I got one in the car.
A guy wearing the wrong hat couldn't
possibly ruin a joyful celebration like
this. It's been a good party.
It should be the best party there ever was.
In Arlington, I'm Kevin Reese.
Alright, photographer Brandon Mowry.
You know I love you,
but you gotta take that Cardinals hat off.
You gotta put on a Rangers cap.
