In the course of history, there have been numerous times when someone made a discovery
without really recognizing the paradigm-changing nature of what he had found.
In 1914, something similar happened on the island of Java, Indonesia.
At this time, the country was a colony of the Dutch Empire,
and colonists besieged the island with farms, which were cut out of the jungle.
At the beginning of the year, one of these colonists decided to leave his farm
and set foot in the surrounding jungle,
after he had heard a story about a lost palace from locals,
which had long been built by a mythical king.
It didn't take long before the colonist came across something incredible.
There, deep in the jungle, he discovered a huge hill,
to the top of which a series of steps led.
At the top of these steps, he found a huge collection of heavy rectangular blocks,
which were scattered in all directions and had long been overgrown with leaves.
Could this be the remains of the mythical palace he had been looking for?
When the colonist returned to his farm,
he sent a letter to the Dutch government,
in which he described his discovery
and demanded a professional expedition to further explore the city.
The description appeared in 1914 in an edition of the Dutch report on the Office for Ancestors
and caused a stir in the homeland of the colonist.
Many people wondered what kind of find this was and who had built it.
In addition, what was its purpose and what else could be hidden underground?
Despite this interest, the Dutch government never sent an expedition
to further explore the city.
Until 1949, Indonesia had largely established its independence from Holland
after bitter liberation struggles,
and the place had disappeared from memory.
And here the story might have ended,
if it hadn't been for three Javanese who had rediscovered the city,
who had wandered around in the jungle in 1979.
When they came across the mysterious cemetery made of stone blocks of the mountain,
they quickly reported their find to the local officials,
who identified the location, which is known as Gunung Padang.
Within a few weeks, the Indonesian government had sent teams
for protection and administration of the cultural heritage
and the National Center for Archaeology to further explore the city.
Shortly thereafter, the researchers began to map the city
and to document its archaeological features.
First there were the stone blocks,
on which the Dutch colonist had come across all these years.
An almost endless number of them,
most of them about one and a half meters long and more than 550 pounds heavy.
Some were much larger and weighed over 1,300 pounds.
The researchers quickly found that these blocks were not made by humans,
but consisted of natural andesite,
which was forged by a volcano.
This meant that someone had transported them to the top of this mountain,
about 90 meters above the valley below.
But who and why?
As they continued their investigation,
the researchers discovered that the blocks were not randomly scattered,
but were actually organized in rectangular stone cemeteries and rock hills.
Whoever had brought them up there had used the blocks for construction.
In fact, it seemed that five separate terraces
covered the hill on an area of 900 square meters,
which were all connected by an ascending staircase with 370 steps.
Instead of determining the age of the city with the help of radio carbon dating,
the researchers used simple assumptions
and estimated that it was built sometime between 2500 and 1500 BC.
By measuring the cracks on the blocks.
Accordingly, they came to the conclusion
that the city was certainly interesting, but not world-shaking,
but only the remains of an old settlement,
as they can be found all over the world.
And so Gunung Padang was kept in memory,
until everything changed in 2011.
At his work as a leading geologist at the Indonesian Institute for Sciences,
Danny Hilma Natavidjaya came across many interesting things.
But nothing aroused his interest as much as the mountain known as Gunung Padang.
It was the peculiar shape of the mountain that impressed him,
how he withdrew from the adjacent landscape.
It is not like the surrounding topography, which is very eroded, he explained.
It looks very young. It looked artificial.
In 2011, Natavidjaya had the opportunity to pursue his curiosity,
when he was chosen to lead a team of geologists at the Institute for Sciences
and archaeologists at the University of Indonesia
in a government-funded project to examine the city.
Their findings were initially inconspicuous.
Initial radio carbon dating,
which were carried out on floors under the stone blocks on the surface,
gave data from 1500 to 500 B.C.,
similar to the original estimate from 1979.
With pipe drillers that supported earth and stone cores,
they quickly found indications of numerous human-made structures
that were buried under the surface.
Surprisingly, the material they produced became older the deeper they went.
Under the surface, the researchers found three different layers.
While the first was only 2,500 to 3,500 years old,
as they had originally determined,
the second layer, about three meters under the surface,
was dated to about 7,500 to 8,300 years,
and the third, almost 15 meters deep, was 28,000 years old.
How could this be possible?
Even at 7,500 years, this would date the city 3,000 years before the ancient Sumerians
and 4,500 years before the ancient Egyptians.
To be 28,000 years old, well, that was something completely different,
just before the last ice age,
many thousands of years before human civilization existed.
The team quickly tested their research
and used ground radar and seismic tomography
to map out what was buried under their feet.
They discovered that the second layer contained a different arrangement of rectangular blocks
that were organized in a matrix structure,
while the third layer contained additional rock structures,
including apparently large underground cavities and chambers.
It seemed that the blocks on the surface were just the beginning of Gunung Padang's construction.
As a geologist of the team expressed it,
what has only been seen as surface formation so far goes into the depths,
and it is a huge structure.
Nathavijaya and his team repeated this in a report
that they published and explained about their results.
Our studies show that the structure not only covers the top,
but also wraps around the slopes with an area of at least 15 hectares.
The structures are not only superficial, but root deep.
In fact, his excavation clearly shows
that the latest structure was built on an older, more demanding layer of cultural stone.
In other words, Gunung Padang was not a mountain at all,
but rather a kind of terrace pyramid.
A series of layers that were built up over the course of history,
one settlement on top of the other,
thousands or tens of thousands of years in the past.
Was that possible?
And if so, who built this kind of construction so far in the past
before modern science tells us that human civilization officially began?
Could Gunung Padang really contain a record of the oldest ever found civilization?
A discovery that would completely rewrite the history books?
Nathavijaya believed to have an answer.
The geophysical evidence is clear.
Gunung Padang is not a natural mountain,
but a pyramid created by man.
And the origins of the construction here go back far before the end of the last ice age.
The work is huge even at the lowest levels
and bears witness to sophisticated construction skills
that were used to build the Egyptian pyramids
or the largest megalithic cities in Europe.
Therefore, I can only conclude
that we are dealing with the work of a deceased civilization.
It's crazy, but it's the data.
With the potential for a world-changing discovery on their soil,
the Indonesian government immediately jumped on board,
poured money into the project and overhauled researchers with the most modern equipment,
while they were members of the Indonesian military,
helping with the excavation.
The president of the country, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono,
described the work in Gunung Padang as an important value for humanity
and even had a helicopter landing site built on the top of the hill
so that he could see the progress with his own eyes.
And yet not everything was positive for Nathavijaya and his research team.
Since their discovery was so groundbreaking,
it quickly became the subject of many controversies.
The fact that the story had been rewritten, as Nathavijaya described it,
was not at all what my colleagues in the world of archaeology expected or wanted to hear.
Almost instantly, the archaeological establishment in Indonesia opposed it.
They did lobby work with the political authorities
and agitated on site to demand the adjustment of the project.
On the surface, their criticism concerned the methods and results of the team,
claims that the proper excavation procedures were not followed
and the results were constructed on the basis of preconceived interpretations.
They also complained about the large budget that had been provided for the project
and claimed that they needed the money for their own, more important work.
But over time, the true nature of their opposition became clear.
Although they had not carried out their own research,
the archaeological establishment claimed that they knew
that the remains of Gunung Padang could not be older than 5,000 years,
simply because it was illogical to assume that a civilization existed so far in the past.
It could not be possible, because if it were,
it would question the recordings of human civilizations contained in the history books.
In other words, their real problem was that they were not willing to adapt their thinking,
unable to consider that what they knew about human history could be wrong.
Natavijaya did not make illusions about the powers he was facing.
I have already fallen into a lot of hot water.
My case is solid and based on good scientific evidence,
but it is not easy.
I fight against deeply rooted beliefs.
He announced to his critics,
I do not argue that the megaliths on the surface are less than 5,000 years old,
but I assume that they were erected here because Gunung Padang has always been considered a holy place.
These are the deepest layers of the structure,
which are between 12,000 and more than 20,000 years old, which are the most important.
They have potentially revolutionary effects on our understanding of history.
And I think it is important that we can properly investigate them.
The government of Indonesia agreed.
Despite the strong resistance, the research in Gunung Padang was continued with state support,
and the discoveries became even more amazing.
When the jungle was removed to facilitate the excavations,
the researchers discovered numerous relics in the entire area.
Jewelry and ceramics, tools and household goods, weapons.
They even discovered coins never seen before, which they dated to 5,200 BC.
An amazing date, as modern science insisted that the first coins in the world appeared around 600 BC.
They also discovered that the cement mixture used to hold the huge blocks of Gunung Padang together
consisted of a combination of clay, clay and iron.
This suggests that the iron melting technology was known many thousands of years ago,
which was impossible according to mainstream science,
because the Iron Age began only 12,001 BC.
But there was more.
While Natavijaya and his team continued to work,
another group of scientists arrived,
who were determined to investigate something else they had heard about.
According to the local legend, the blocks in Gunung Padang emit a kind of mysterious energy
that makes it a place where people have been traveling to meditate since time immemorial.
In fact, Gunung Padang means, in the old language, the Mountain of Enlightenment.
Was there anything true about this legend?
During the further investigation of the idea with modern equipment,
the researchers found that the blocks actually emitted a relatively high frequency at levels
that strangely coincided with the western standard music scale.
We have studied the secrets of frequency and vibrations in detail on this channel.
From the Greek philosopher Pythagoras and his vibration medicine,
to the acoustic levitation of Buddhist monks,
to Nikola Tesla and his famous words,
if you want to know the secrets of the universe,
think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
The unusual frequencies that were generated by the blocks in Gunung Padang
seemed to indicate that its builders knew about these secrets many thousands of years ago.
Secrets that still escape us today.
Coins, before there were coins. Iron, before the Iron Age.
Secrets of frequency and vibration that we still do not understand.
It seemed that Gunung Padang was not only the proof of an extremely old civilization,
but, as Natavijaya expressed it,
proof of an intelligent and extremely advanced civilization.
Could it be, as Natavijaya claimed,
that everything that was taught us about the origins of civilization could be wrong?
The answer to this question never came.
At the height of a discovery that should change our understanding of human history,
a catastrophe occurred for Natavijaya and his team.
In 2014, the second term of office of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as president of Indonesia,
which, according to the constitution of the country, was maximally permissible,
and Joko Widodo was elected as his successor.
In contrast to his predecessor,
Widodo took the side of the archaeological establishment in the question of Gunung Padang.
On 1 October 2014, the research was stopped at the site.
Natavijaya and his team were asked to pack their things and go home,
to forget their work, which seemed so decisive and groundbreaking.
To this day, Widodo is president and the research in Gunung Padang remains closed.
The mystery unsolved, the story incomplete.
Could an advanced ancient civilization,
thousands of years before the ancient Egyptians or Sumerians,
even before the last ice age, have existed?
And if so, who were they and what happened to them?
Some have an answer.
In the middle of the 19th century, a British-American antiquarian
named Augustus Le Plongeant came to public awareness
when he came up with an incredible claim.
Le Plongeant had spent his life
exploring and documenting the ancient Maya culture on the Yucatan Peninsula.
During this time, he claimed,
he had been invited into an old holy Maya book known as Popol Vuh.
After the translation, Le Plongeant explained,
the book revealed that the people in Yucatan
were actually descendants of an older civilization from a lost continent,
a civilization that lived in the past many thousand years
before it sank dramatically in the Atlantic Ocean
and was lost for all eternity.
According to Le Plongeant, the continent was called Mu.
The idea of the lost continent Mu
was picked up by a man named James Churchward,
who wrote a series of books in the 1920s and 1930s
that told a story that was just as incredible as that of Le Plongeant.
According to Churchward, during his time as a British soldier in colonial India,
at the end of the 18th century, he befriended a high-ranking local priest
who showed him a series of old tablets
that were written in a lost language
and that only the priest and two other people on earth could understand.
After a few tricks, Churchward convinced the priest to teach him the language
so that he could read the tablets himself.
When he did, he discovered a story about a lost continent
that is simply called Mu, as the place where man first appeared.
According to Churchward, this continent was the home of an advanced civilization
with about 64 million inhabitants,
which lived 50,000 to 12,000 years ago
before it was searched for by a disaster
and completely extinguished in almost a single night,
covered by 80 million square kilometers of water.
In contrast to Le Plongeant, Churchward placed Mu in the Pacific Ocean
and described its extent even with 8,000 kilometers from east to west
and 5,000 kilometers from north to south,
larger than the South American continent.
Even more incredible, Churchward explained
that the survivors of Mu's catastrophic end
had fled into the whole world
and had founded the old civilizations of Egypt, Greece,
Central America, India, the Easter Island and elsewhere,
of which he believed that they would explain the similar and recurring stories,
symbols and architectures that appear in cultures that have never met.
Until recently, new evidence forced the opinions to change.
Similar to the stories about the lost continent of Atlantis,
both Le Plongeant and Churchward's stories about Mu
have been spied on by mainstream science,
which has depicted the continent as a ridiculous myth
that has been untrue and undisputed for many years,
until recently new evidence emerged.
In 1986, a diver named Keiichiro Arataki
searched for a good place to observe hammerhead sharks off the coast of Yonaguni-jima,
an island in Japan's southwestern corner, about 100 kilometers from Taiwan,
when he suddenly noticed something amazing on the seabed.
There, at a depth of over 30 meters,
there seemed to be a massive stone pyramid,
well over 30 meters long and almost exactly as wide.
What was this monument, asked Arataki.
Immediately, a team led by Masaaki Kimura,
a marine biologist at the University of Ryukyu,
went to investigate the supposed monument.
As they began their research,
Kimura and his team quickly noticed
what they thought were numerous structures on the site.
Not only a pyramid, but also a support wall,
a road, gates and stairs, and drainage channels,
all in perfectly right angles,
and marked by tools and strategically placed holes.
It was clear to the team that these cities must have been made by humans.
Many in the scientific establishment
disagreed with this assessment and claimed
that everything that had been found was a natural phenomenon
and that it had been created by chance in the time of the oceans.
But then Kimura and his team began to discover carvings in the rocks,
from a huge turtle and other animals,
people, even a face that looked like the heads of the Easter Islands.
Surely this could not have been a coincidence either.
Kimura, on the other hand, believed that the place,
which had become known as the Yonaguni Monument,
was thousands of years old,
from a time when the land on which it was built was overflowing,
before it went underwater and was lost.
Immediately, many made the connection
The Yonaguni Monument looked like the remains of a lost civilization.
If the legendary lost continent Mu really sank in the Pacific Ocean,
as James George Ward had assumed,
could the Yonaguni Monument be the edge of this lost continent?
Of course, mainstream science said no.
The Yonaguni Monument was not part of the lost continent Mu.
And in fact, the lost continent Mu could not have existed at all,
because human civilization did not exist so far in the past.
And yet, in the years after the discovery of the Yonaguni Monument,
something else emerged that mainstream science proved to be more than wrong.
In 1963, a comprehensive investigation was carried out in the southeastern region of Turkey,
which included a city called Göbekli Tepe, or Bauchhügel.
There, landowners found broken limestone slabs at the top of the hill,
but assumed that they came from an abandoned medieval cemetery,
so they made a note and went on.
Like researchers in Gunung Padang in 1979,
without the true meaning of what they had found.
The city was forgotten until 1994,
when a German archaeologist named Klaus Schmidt
came across a report from 1963 about Göbekli Tepe,
when he was working on his own investigation of prehistoric cities in the region
and decided to look at the hill himself.
From the first moment he saw the rounded tip of the Bauchhügel,
which rose 15 meters above the surrounding landscape, he knew it.
Only man could have created something like that, he announced.
It was immediately clear that it was a gigantic stone age city.
In 1995, Schmidt and a team of archaeologists
began research at Göbekli Tepe
and almost immediately their finds shook the foundations of the scientific world.
Buried directly under the surface were a series of megaliths
that were up to 5.5 meters high and 50 tons heavy,
arranged in circles with carvings of abstract symbols and animals,
foxes, lions, bulls, snakes and insects.
Even more incredible is that the carbon dating
took the city back to a period between 9600 and 8200 BC,
at least 5,000 years before Stonehenge,
which means that Göbekli Tepe
contained the oldest known megaliths in the world.
As research continued in the 90s and 2000s,
even more incredible results were discovered.
With the help of ground radar,
at least 20 smaller stone circles were identified deep underground,
of which Schmidt believed they would be much older than the already excavated ones.
If this was true, this would take the city's creation back to the last ice age.
Although Schmidt died in 2014,
the research at Göbekli Tepe continued and the excavations did not stop.
As the researchers dug deeper,
they discovered clues to a centuries-old settlement deep underground.
Houses, tools for grinding grain,
cisterns and channels for collecting rainwater.
This meant that Göbekli Tepe was not just a monument,
but an ancient human settlement,
a civilization that is older than all known.
Research is still underway today
and many are wondering what else could be found in the city.
Until 2021, only 5% of the site had been excavated.
In addition, many are wondering what else can be found in the region.
Archaeologists have already found at least a dozen similar sites near Göbekli Tepe,
which indicates that this old civilization,
whoever it was, was spread over the entire area.
But no matter what they will find in the future,
the point that has already been said is clear.
Human civilization simply goes back over the date
that was programmed by mainstream science as the starting point for a long time.
If they say that the Yonaguni Monument or Gunung Padang
cannot be evidence of an old, lost civilization
just because they know that human civilization did not exist so far back,
Göbekli Tepe shows that they actually have no idea
how far human civilization has gone back.
If you recognize this, the question is not so much
whether a civilization existed deep in the past
and could have built something like Gunung Padang,
but rather, if there were, who were they and where did they go?
Could they really have been the inhabitants of a lost continent called Mu?
A geological fact that is undisputed
is that Indonesia was not always just a collection of islands,
as is the case today.
About 10,000 years ago, when the sea level was 120 meters lower,
Indonesia was a landmass
that was connected to the Asian subcontinent known as Sundaland.
The local legend says that Gunung Padang
was built by the king of the Sundaland kingdom
before this kingdom sank in the ocean.
Some in modern times suspect that Gunung Padang
could have been the high point of this old kingdom
due to its altitude,
until the ice caps of the earth melted at the end of the last ice age
and the earth flooded and turned Indonesia into islands.
There is another story
that is told by some indigenous peoples of Indonesia and the Philippines.
It tells of a great flood
that rose at some point in distant past
and devastated the country,
leaving only one couple alive.
This couple climbed a mountain to survive
before the gods finally sent a great fire
that burned so brightly
that it evaporated the flood water from the earth
and let the couple back to re-populate the earth.
If the story seems familiar to you,
it is because it is.
From Indonesia to the biblical story of the Arche Noah
and beyond,
almost every culture in the world
has a story about a great flood.
Perhaps this ever-repeating flood story
is actually the story of the destruction of the continent Mo.
Historians claim today
that the entire human civilization
began after the end of the last ice age.
But perhaps this ice age is not the starting point,
but the dividing line.
The point at which the former human high culture
was destroyed by the melting ice caps
and was lost under the waves of the sea.
Perhaps evidence for these civilizations
are still hidden somewhere in the ocean today
and are waiting to be found.
What is clear at this point
is that the human civilization is older
than mainstream science has ever claimed.
Whether you call it Mo or Atlantis
or something completely different,
the only thing you have to do
is to find out more.
