Stories about the advanced skills of ancient Hindu deities can be found all over India.
But south of the Indian subcontinent lies the magnificent island state of Sri Lanka.
This is a place that is known for its breathtaking landscapes, its diverse culture and various UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
One of the most impressive places in Sri Lanka is Sigiriya, a place that is often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world.
Sigiriya was also the home of an ancient city, which was enthroned on a monolithic rock,
about 200 meters high above the city of Dambulla in the district of Matale in Sri Lanka.
The city attracts thousands of tourists every day and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982.
Many believe that the huge monolithic rock, due to its completely flat top,
which gives the impression as if it had been cut in a precise angle, looks unnatural.
According to modern archaeologists, the earliest settlement on Sigiriya was the Lion Fortress, which was built in the 5th century AD.
Most of the site, its palace and its huge water tank made of granite,
were built under the command of a Shurka king named Kashyapa.
However, the local population believes that this ancient city was built thousands of years earlier by an ancient Hindu god named Ravana,
who belonged to a species known as Asura.
These deities are said to have descended from heaven and ruled over parts of humanity.
In one of our last videos, we talked in detail about the magnificent Rama Setu,
an ancient bridge that was built by the god Rama, who led the war against Ravana, between India and Sri Lanka.
There we provided many evidence that supports the belief that Rama Setu was actually an artificial bridge,
which was built by unknown beings thousands of years ago.
In Hinduism, it is said that Ravana ruled Sri Lanka from his palace in Sigiriya,
and that the palace was destroyed after the war with Rama.
Is it possible that what we see today in Sigiriya are the remains of the destroyed palace of Ravana?
If the stories about Rama Setu were real historical reports,
would it be possible that the stories about Sigiriya are also real?
And could Sigiriya have been used by ancient civilizations and perhaps even by Hindu deities thousands of years before King Kashyapa built his fortress there?

The area around Sigiriya shows signs of human settlement that date back to the Middle Stone Age, about 5000 years ago.
There are also indications that the various rock accommodations and caves in the area
were used by the common era of Buddhist monks in the last centuries.
Nevertheless, conventional archaeologists want to make us believe
that the first use of the cities took place during the reign of King Kashyapa at the end of the 5th century.
Kashyapa was king of Sri Lanka from 473 to 495 AD,
and he came to power only after he had organized the murder of his father
before he tore the throne under his brother, who was the legal heir.
Legends say that King Kashyapa moved to the area of Sigiriya out of fear for his life.
There he built a fortress on the Megalith Rock, because he believed that it would be impenetrable for his brother's army.
However, Kashyapa's army was eventually defeated,
and instead of being taken prisoner by the invasion army, Kashyapa committed suicide.
After his death, his brother Moggallana gave the Buddhist monks the city of Sigiriya,
where it remained a monastery until the 14th century.
Sigiriya was given up at some point in the 15th century and remained uninhabited.
Residents of the West discovered the place for the first time when Jonathan Forbes,
a major of the British army, stumbled upon the site during a raid.
After the discovery of the ancient ruins in Sigiriya by Forbes,
various Western archaeological teams carried out small excavations in the area in the following years
and were amazed at what they found.
There were various visible indications of advanced technical skills in Sigiriya.
The ancient city had one of the best preserved examples of city planning,
and the layout of the cities shows techniques and technologies that were much more advanced
than were considered possible at the time.
The layout of the city shows symmetrical and asymmetrical aspects,
which the builders consciously incorporated into the natural environment of the site.
There were various buildings on the city, but archaeologists did not know their purpose.
Therefore, the general conviction was that it was citadels, palaces, houses and lush gardens.
A part of the city resembles a step pyramid with similar features as in Central America.
There is another park on the west side of the city,
and here we find further signs of advanced ancient engineering.
The park contains various water retention structures,
including a sophisticated hydraulic system that supplied the gardens with water.
This unique design consisted of canals, lakes, dams and even water pumps,
which shows that the construction of this site was thoroughly planned.
Some of these hydraulic systems still supply the area with water today.
The many structures found on the monolithic rock were built from clay bricks.
This amazes archaeologists, who try to explain how the old builders
carried estimated 3 million bricks to the top of the rock,
as there were no signs of stairs from the ground to the top.
The metal stairs that are still present on the site were only built in the last century,
so that tourists can visit the site.
Without a proper staircase to the top, it seems almost impossible to drive the bricks
or the material for their manufacture through the dense forest
and find a way to the top of the monolithic rock.
While the bricks appear to be an impressive feature of the city,
the huge blocks of white marble,
from which many of the paths and palace stairs of the settlement exist, are even more interesting.
The white marble used for the construction is not native to the area
and archaeologists are still not sure where the marble comes from.
Each of the marble blocks is extremely heavy and there are thousands of them.
So how did these old builders manage to build tons of heavy marble blocks
without stairs to the top of the monolithic rock?
This has caused many people to question the archaeological view of how this ancient city was built.
With the modern metal stairs on site, it can still take up to two hours to get to the top.
So how did natives carry tons of material there without a clear path?
Various archaeologists have noticed strange tool marks
that look like narrow canals along the common side of the rock.
Archaeologists confirm that these markings were carved in antiquity.
But there is no answer to how they were hit in places on the side of the rock
where there are no slopes on which people can stand.
There are also deep, circular holes that were drilled into the monolithic rock near its tip.
Again, archaeologists struggle to explain how these holes were drilled with primitive tools.
In addition, we can find these strange grooves near the drilling holes.
Their purpose or how they were made remains a complete mystery.
Right next to the grooves we find another drilling hole that goes very deep into the rock.
All these strange markings look like they were made with advanced machines
that drilled or even melted the rock.
However, the most impressive feature of the entire site are not the bricks, marble blocks or even unusual drilling holes.
Instead, there is a huge water tank made of granite that is located in the middle of the site.
From a distance, it seems that this water tank was built of granite blocks.
But if you get closer to the tank, you will find that it is actually hit in the extremely hard granite rocks.
The huge tank is 27 meters long, 20 meters wide and about 2 meters deep.
This means that over 3,500 tons of granite would have had to be removed by hand to create this structure.
Granite is one of the hardest rocks on earth.
If primitive chisels and hammers had been used at that time, the processing would have taken years.
Did the workers really dig for years to dig out this granite tank?
Or is it a proof of advanced technology?
If you visit the cities and look at the granite pool, you will find that there are no traces of chisels or hammers.
Instead, you see long stretches of shovel-like markings that look like those
that can be seen in megalithic cities in Egypt and Peru.
Various scholars have said that the old builders knew how to manipulate the frequency of rocks,
making them soft and much easier to transform and carve.
Could it be that they removed so much granite from the tip of Sigiriya?
An impressive feature of the tank is that it never dries out,
not even during the incredibly warm season in Sri Lanka.
Water always remains in the tank, which is a technical miracle even for us with our modern technology.
The tank seems to collect water through percolation,
a process in which liquid slowly flows through a filter.
But the tank also has a drainage system at the bottom,
which ensures that it never overflows even during the humid monsoon season in Sri Lanka.
All these marvels of engineering throw up many unanswered questions about the construction of Sigiriya.
From various unusual markings on the granite to the enormous amount of material
that is necessary for the construction of many structures,
all point to the fact that we are dealing with a much older city.
Possibly even with one that was used in pre-flooding times.
Could it be that Sigiriya is the remains of an old lost civilization
that perished during a flood or natural disaster?
Or could this place high in the sky have been used as a refuge during the flood?
The local population of the area does not only believe this,
but there are also legends that indicate that this was not only the work of an advanced civilization,
but also of someone who had descended from heaven.
As already mentioned, there are no traces of old steps leading to the top of the building.
Many researchers have suspected that the old builders of this city,
because there were no stairs, had anti-gravity technology or perhaps flying vehicles.
This is an idea that has parallels in various local traditions in the area.
According to legends, the city of Sigiriya was created by deities who descended from heaven.
They came to earth and modeled Sigiriya after the role model of their god Kuvera,
who was the god of wealth.
Various other local legends assure the visitors that the city of Sigiriya
is the palace of Ravana, an old god king of Sri Lanka.
The legend also says that the huge granite tank was Ravana's swimming pool
and that the oldest parts of the site were also built by him.
According to old texts from the regions of Sri Lanka and India,
Ravana was not born as a normal human being, but his ancestors came from heaven.
It is said that Ravana belonged to a species known as Asura,
which in the Indian texts were described as powerful superhuman demi-gods
who came to earth thousands of years ago.
Many believe that these stories are not only mythology,
but also old historical reports from visitors who came to earth.
Is it possible that the Asuras were the original builders of Sigiriya?
Builders who used advanced technologies to raise the material necessary for the construction of the city?
In Hindu mythology, we find numerous references to Vimanas,
the flying vehicles with which the gods traveled from heaven to earth and around the planet.
One of the holiest texts of India, the Mahabharata,
speaks of airports that belonged to the Asuras, the same god species to which Ravana also belongs.
Could it be possible that the Asuras used Vimanas to help build the city of Sigiriya?
Some sources claim that the Asuras were hybrid beings
and Ravana himself is sometimes referred to as a reptile god in Hindu mythology.
The city of Sigiriya could contain some of the answers to its true identity.
When you enter the cities of Sigiriya,
you first notice two huge carved feet sitting at the entrance gate.
The local population calls them lion claws,
but lions have four large claws and a small one.
There are three claws in Sigiriya,
which makes many people believe that they actually represent a kind of reptile.
Most of the old reptiles had three large claws,
and this is exactly what we observe at the entrance of Sigiriya.
Some locals call these feet the feet of Ravana.
Does this mean that Ravana was a kind of humanoid reptile?
In some old texts it is claimed that Ravana was not a complete human being,
only his father was one.
On the other hand, his mother was a completely different species,
and possibly a reptile.
When Ravana was born, he was said to have been of a hybrid species.
Some have even made a connection between Ravana and the Nephilim giants,
which are mentioned in the old Christian and Hebrew texts.
It was known that Ravana had different human characteristics,
but some were different from those of an average human being.
It is generally known that Ravana was at least three meters tall,
and one of his most interesting characteristics was his ability to change himself
in order to deceive others.
This is a widespread phenomenon among those who are considered reptiles.
Another characteristic that Ravana had was his ability to become almost invisible
by merging with the environment.
References to Ravana's reptile-like appearance can be found in all old texts.
One text, known as Ramakin, clearly states that Ravana had a green,
idex-like skin.
In modern times, various reptiles, including snakes,
are also named after the reptile king Ravana.
According to the old Tamil and Singhalese texts,
the original inhabitants of Sri Lanka were a species of beings known as Naga.
Naga is the modern word for snake,
but according to these old texts, Naga was the name of these reptile-hybrid beings
who were eventually forced to live underground,
and some believe that they still live there today.
The more you research the old texts,
the stranger the stories about Sri Lanka and Sigiriya become.
What do you think of Sigiriya?
Was it somehow built by primitive people with simple tools?
Or is there more to the story?
Could people have carried over 3 million marble blocks to the top of the rock
without advanced technology,
while at the same time cutting out 3.5 tons of granite
and removing it from the construction site without stairs?
Do you think that conventional archaeologists are wrong
when they attribute the city builders in the 5th century?
Or do you rather want to get the idea
that old builders with an unknown form of advanced technology
are the original inhabitants of this city?
And could Sigiriya even have been built by Ravana
or his extraterrestrial species called Asura?
Is it possible that the city of Sigiriya,
the home of an advanced group of reptilian gods,
possessed a technology that was far superior to their human penance?
And did these Asura come down from heaven to mix with humans
and change the course of our history,
as all old texts tell us?
