Hello, everyone. Today it's about vitamin C,
an extremely important vitamin for me.
And you should definitely know the facts you're hearing now.
I'm sure you've heard about vitamin C
and that it's necessary for our immune system.
You might also know that.
But that's not all.
For me, it's an extremely important micronutrient,
also known as ascorbic acid,
because in its case a lot of it actually helps a lot.
When the Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling
made an attempt in the middle of the last century
to inform people about the importance of vitamin C,
he wasn't taken seriously
and his statements were sometimes considered unserious.
Nevertheless, that didn't stop him from winning
this important antioxidant.
You've heard of it, haven't you?
Research and experience,
sometimes even with high dosage,
continue to amaze with new findings.
So, vitamin C doesn't just help you lose weight
by contributing to the body's own production of carnitine.
The body also needs vitamin C to build up fats better.
So a lot of vitamin C,
a sufficient supply of it,
means better fat burning.
And of course, a sufficient supply of vitamin C
also protects our cardiovascular system.
With normal weight people,
the heart can handle its tasks much easier
than with overweight people.
But also the property of vitamin C as an antioxidant
prevents the deposition of oxidized fatty acid molecules
in the vessels.
Less plaque and thus fewer heart attacks
or strokes are the consequences.
By the way, vitamin C is also extremely helpful
in allergic diseases,
up to allergic asthma,
because it reduces the release of histamine,
which in the case of allergic reactions,
like swelling of the mucous membranes,
also leads to the typical allergic symptoms in the bronchi.
Our dental health is ensured.
A reference to a vitamin C supplement
is, for example, dental floss.
Unfortunately, the dentist often finds a parodontosis at the same time.
And people with a low vitamin C level
are also more likely to have a tooth inflammation
of the parodontitis.
This inflammation is triggered by a burdening biofilm
in the mouth area.
Of course, it also has something to do with
what you eat every day.
A poor tooth melt
is actually associated with a vitamin C deficiency.
And last but not least,
vitamin C also helps to increase beauty,
because the overall skin image improves,
as well as the hair.
With a sufficient supply,
it leads less to splice,
i.e. to the split of the hair tips,
and contains more shine.
And something else, and something very important,
cancer cells do not like vitamin C.
For a long time now,
in complementary medicine or in natural medicine,
infusions with vitamin C have been administered.
And you are probably also interested in
which foods contain a lot of vitamin C.
And I think it should already be a compulsory program
in school and be taught.
And here is just a small section of all the wonderful plants
that contain a lot of vitamin C.
Sandthorn, buckthorn, green cabbage,
johannis berries, peppers, blueberries, strawberries,
raspberries, mangoes, but also potatoes
are valuable natural vitamin C suppliers.
Cabbage, so really all varieties,
such as white cabbage, red cabbage, pink cabbage, flower cabbage,
is an excellent vitamin C supplier.
And especially for the dark season,
i.e. autumn, winter, early spring,
when cooking, and that is very interesting,
the important vitamin C is not destroyed in these cabbage varieties.
But especially in the dark months,
to be honest, I definitely recommend to my patients
to take vitamin C as a supplement.
Or to take a vitamin C infusion from time to time.
If you are one of those who still have relatively little fruit and vegetables,
i.e. take these really good plant-based foods with you,
then you can take 2-3 grams of vitamin C with you all year round.
Yes, just try it out.
And maybe you've already tried it.
And write in the comments below,
what you knew about vitamin C,
or whether it really is a topic, as I believe,
that you don't know enough about it.
And of course I'm happy
if you want to see more of my videos.
And you are welcome to do that up here.
And until next time, I just wish you to be fit and healthy.
See you, bye!
