I'm so scared.
I have to be careful not to hit the handle or anything.
We have moved from Japan to Germany, Germany to Japan,
from Japan to Florida, Florida to Colorado,
and from Colorado to Japan.
The number of times we have moved abroad has made us stronger.
We have never felt any pain other than our physical strength.
I remember that we were so excited to move to the next place.
But I feel like moving to Japan was a little different.
I don't know where to hold.
Let's do it once in the morning.
Are you okay?
Down, down, down.
Oh, it's bent.
Let's go to the back.
Someone help me up.
Let's go.
Truck drivers are like this.
Is the washing machine okay in the back?
It's totally fine.
It's not moving.
It's not moving?
It's slow to drive.
Is this right?
I don't think I need this navigation system.
I can't see anything.
Is the door open?
The door, the dryer.
We had a carpenter at the new place, so he helped us.
It's totally different when there's a man.
How was the move?
The move?
It's my first time.
It's not your first time?
No, it's not.
It's your first time?
Yes, it's my first time.
It's totally different when there's a man.
I feel like I've done something wrong.
I feel like I'm being pathetic.
Are you okay?
It's done.
This place used to be like this.
Wow, that's amazing.
So this is how it works.
You take all of this and put it in that truck?
Yes, you put it in that truck.
That was the place.
And it used to be like this.
I was in a hurry because I had to do something about that room.
Actually, we made a video about that room three months ago.
What about this room?
Are you going to remodel this house?
Yes, I'm going to remodel this house.
Is this going to be an office or what?
Yes, an office.
This is how it looks like when I first saw this house.
I don't think the camera is doing a good job.
I'm an amateur, but I'm going to try it.
I don't know how it's going to turn out.
I'm scared.
I can't do it at all.
Why is this going to the back?
The blade is stuck here.
If you don't have a blade, put the center of gravity on this side.
Little by little, I'm getting better at using a circular saw.
What?
Again?
It's like a toy.
Look at this side.
28 degrees.
How much do you think it's going to turn?
It's going to turn, isn't it?
I don't think this is going to work.
It's smooth.
No, it's not.
Isn't this side swollen?
If you can tell the difference, you're probably a carpenter.
First, hit it flat.
And at the end, when you pull it, it's dented like this.
Wow, that's amazing.
You can't hit it like this.
The elbow is fixed.
Only the wrist.
Asako is getting better at hammering.
The circular saw is getting more and more professional.
Let's raise your legs.
I taught him, so he can do it now.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you with your work.
Thank you so much, Mr. Carpenter.
You can jump in from there.
I didn't go to the river much this summer.
Because the weather was bad.
This time it's a floor mat.
I bought it from KINES.
My younger sister's husband helped me.
I'm trying to finish the room as soon as possible.
This was a very difficult scene.
It was where there was a corner.
Does it look good?
No.
Isn't it good?
It's not good at all.
I put glue on it.
Don't put too much.
Finally, Mr. Carpenter finished it.
I put it in.
How good is my skill?
About 40%.
40%?
You've gotten pretty good, haven't you?
It's not 40%, it's 10%.
I put it on.
It took me more than a week on this day.
That's right.
But of course, it's a day off.
It took me about a week.
I think I did a good job as an amateur.
Just a little more.
Next, I'll paint the walls and the moldings.
And that's it for this room.
I'm sorry for the poor quality.
This is the after.
Everything is done.
Most of them have been cleaned up.
Tomorrow, I'll check the apartment.
I'll hand over the keys and say goodbye to this apartment.
I've been living here for a year.
Thank you for taking care of this apartment.
It was fast.
Maybe it wasn't fast.
That's what it feels like.
When I see my children grow up like this,
I feel like I've grown up here, too.
I think I made a good memory.
I have three children.
My family is getting bigger and bigger.
To be honest, I thought there was a limit.
I've always wanted to have a house in Japan, no matter how it is.
I bought this on the occasion.
Tomorrow, I'm going to clean up a little bit.
I'm going to clean up and move to a new house.
This is my last breakfast.
Where are you going now?
I don't have any holidays except for Obon.
I've been in a lot of pain for the past few days.
I'm starting to feel a little tired.
I can't say I'm tired and I'm going to rest.
I went to a club.
I've been able to exercise since I was a kid.
In the United States, there was a lot of indoor play.
The severity of this club may be a side effect.
This is the bedroom on the second floor.
I cried a lot because I didn't go to school.
I practiced interviewing from a distance because my voice was small.
Did I practice standing?
This is the study room.
The first midterm test at junior high school.
We all made it together because we wanted a proper desk.
The second half of the summer when I started studying.
I talked a lot in this room.
I talked about school, class, teachers, Japanese, and Americans.
But after all, it's narrow.
There were a lot of things I could do because it was a small room.
This is the living room.
This is the night I arrived in Japan.
I ate a lot of delicious Japanese food and sashimi that I can't eat in the United States.
After returning to the United States, I started living with three people.
And then I started living with five people again.
This is my last move.
It's a luggage.
To be honest, I've been thinking about a lot of things.
It's been a year, but it's been a dark year.
