《高山》、《流水》二曲，本只一曲，初志在乎高山，言仁者樂山之意，後志在乎流水，言智者樂水之意。至唐，分為兩曲，不分段數。至宋《高山》分為四段，《流水》為八段。
The majestic mountains are admired. And it bears the virtue of pregnancy and hiding, and it is also fascinated by men. This song uses the high mountains as a metaphor for the magnanimous character of a gentleman, and reveals the heavy ridges of the mountains. When it understates, it becomes a lofty and ancient trend. The peaks are overlapping, and the clouds are misty.
