《西麓堂琴统中》琴曲总共七段，其后记原文：曲为角音。此曲世而寡传，予详谱法，迺仙家傲世之意，姑漫存之。

山居吟 CHANT OF MOUTAIN LIFE
据西麓堂琴统打谱，借正调作黄鐘均侧弄，徵音。写隐居修炼之士，以天地为庐，草木为衣，清流为带，得林泉风月，自然之趣。此曲苍劲高古，抚弹之古风犹存，不同于後世流行之曲。
