Turning Trains at Mimico - Railfanning the GO Transit and VIA Rail Maintenance yards

Welcome back! The layout is progressing well, and I should have an update to share very soon. I recently uploaded a video discussing burnout and balance in any endeavour, particularly hobbies. While making that video, I realized it had been a while since I took a rail fanning trip. Therefore, I decided to explore the maintenance yards at Mimico for GO Transit and VIA Rail. The Islington Avenue Bridge provides the only vantage point for both facilities, allowing me to observe the prototype and its operations. It was a fantastic experience, and I gained plenty of inspiration for a maintenance building that I'm considering adding to the layout!

One of the most interesting things to watch was that for the majority of the early afternoon, VIA passenger units arrived westbound from Union Station. These trains then reversed direction at the Wye located in the southeast corner of the yard so they were now facing eastbound. They then backed into the staging yard near the fueling station for cleaning.
