Hey guys, I'm Ross and Beck is right behind the camera. We're at Borough Market in London
and we're going to take you around and show you our favourite foods on offer here. Let's go!
What a great value find. For five quid you can get eggs, black pudding,
bacon, sausages, what else? Some bubble and squeak which is such an old school little dish
and they just said to me put some brown sauce on the bubble and squeak it tastes amazing.
This place is one of the oldest stalls in the Borough Market and seriously five quid is
incredible value so we think this is our value find in here and I'm gonna start with some black
pudding. Oh it's so rich, so like earthy. I love black pudding.
I'm not sure I mentioned but they even threw a little sausage on here too.
I don't really know what's in the bubble and squeak but my understanding it's like a
mashed potato and then lots of different things that they throw in whatever they've kind of got
available. Oh that's good. Bec you're gonna love this. What a find.
In London you could easily pay double this for half the food. Some bacon.
Oh that bacon's incredible.
And some egg.
That's a perfect start to our little walk around Borough Market.
How many? How many in one hour? 2000 in one hour.
Look at the size of these oysters. They are massive.
Let's have the biggest oyster. Biggest oyster you have. Where is it?
Oh that's incredible. I think yours is bigger. Yeah.
So Furness Oyster Bar. I swear they do the biggest oyster I've ever seen and
I've eaten a hundred oysters in one go before but I've never eaten an oyster as big as this so
here goes. Bottoms up. I'm gonna go down in one. Some people get knife,
some forks and sit down and cut this thing but seriously
let's see how I go. How big is my mouth? I have like a massive audience too. Oh my gosh.
Oh my god. That was incredible. I love oysters and this is from a local
shore. Anyway there is no oyster left. Down in one and it's all over my face.
This is such a cool market and there are stalls with food from all around the world but it's a
bit of a maze so just expect to take your time and wander through. There's some really cool spots
through here. So a spot that caught our eye in the market. It's right in the corner. It's called
and they're serving soul food. All different types of cool stuff and mac and cheese with
pulled pork and a cheese sauce ladled over the top. Who doesn't like that? Who doesn't like that?
Anyway let's taste it. Oh that mac and cheese is like really salty like brilliant flavour.
Sometimes it can be really creamy and insipid. This one packs a punch. I got some gourmet cheese
in there. I love that. That's about as good of mac and cheese as I've ever eaten.
Let's try some of this pulled pork. Oh look at that. Perfectly seasoned, slowly cooked.
I have no idea what they spiced it with but it's just a really yummy flavour. So there's a big
lineup. Lots of people waiting to get burgers and there's gumbo and lots of other soul foods.
It's well worth it though honestly. That is amazing.
Oh my gosh Bec you're gonna love this. Great combo. The two of these. Come find this in the corner.
If you're new to scotch eggs, it's basically meat on the outside, eggs on the middle. Very
traditional in England. I've made hundreds of these before but pork, bacon, spinach and leek
and that gooey egg. Rather than make them at home just come here and eat these scotch tails.
All right I'm gonna smash this.
Oh that is seasoned perfectly. That's incredible. Gooey egg as well.
Like they've nailed the inside. That is just like so gooey. Can you guys see that?
That's amazing. It's got these crispy bread crumbs on the outside
and that deep frying is like a precision. She's counting on a timer just to make sure
every single scotch egg is the same. Absolute quality. All right we had to find a quiet place
because it's an absolute frenzy in there. You could see these massive trays of wild mushrooms
and a mushroom risotto and lots of other vegetarian stuff. It's a really cool thing to see.
Anyway let's see what this thing tastes like.
So we've got the wild mushroom risotto and I can see so many different variations of mushrooms in
here. Oh wow there's a really sharp cheese on top. Nice and creamy but yeah really earthy
flavors. All these different mushrooms. It's like mushroom meets mushroom meets mushroom. Love it.
Oh with that cheese that is to die for. Texture of that risotto. That's perfectly cooked.
That must be so hard to do with such a big pan. Really impressive stuff. If you're a vegetarian
go check this place out and even if you're not a vegetarian go and check this place out.
So our cousin Rich who's a local here said go to Bread Ahead because they've got an amazing
array of cakes and well other stuff. Really cool old-school bakery doing modern donuts. Now you
should probably get a jam donut but I asked him and he said the chocolate one's quite popular.
Let's do it.
I have it all over my face. Oh that's amazing.
There is so much in there. So much chocolate sauce in there. Incredible.
I don't know if you can see that. It's just squeezing out.
Chocolate filling is so tasty. I don't know what chocolate they use but that's amazing.
Outside icing sugar. It's good. Come to this joint. Three quid for a filled donut. Not bad.
