Today I want to talk about a less known topic that connects Shakespeare, Giordano Bruno, and John Florio, that very few scholars have discussed and that will change completely your view on Shakespeare’s sonnets.

I have also noticed that none on youtube ever discussed this topic and i’m honoured and glad to be the very first person to address this important subject.

Yes, because Bruno was not only a philosopher, a dramatist, an astronomer, he was also a poet. When he lived at the french embassy in london with John Florio from 1583 to 1585, bruno wrote several sonnets. He was, like Florio and Shakespeare, a poet and sonneteer. These sonnets were published in Heroici Furori, Universe Infinite and the world.
Much of his work was written in dialogues, but he included dozens of sonnets and even a sonnet sequence.
Today i will show you how bruno’s sonnets have influenced Shakespeare’s sonnets.
