It is time for the highs and lows of the week, and our first high goes to a person who doesn't
always get a lot of love at a baseball game.
The umpire.
In this case, it is well-deserved.
Check out the wild scene at home plate during a Little League game in Jacksonville, Florida.
As 7-year-old catcher Bauer Zoya gets caught in a mini-tornado known as a dust devil, 17-year-old
umpire Aiden Wiles rushes in, grabbing Bauer and carrying the boy to safety.
Experts do say those devils can be very dangerous with winds up to 60 miles an hour.
At first I was freaked out myself until I saw him like trapped in it.
So I decided to run in there and grab him out of it.
I've never seen anything like that in my whole entire life, on and off the field.
Aiden said the young catcher Bauer was in shock, as you can imagine, but after drinking some water and
clearing the dirt from his eyes, the kid got right back into the game.
He's a gamer.
Nice workout there, Blue.
Our next high goes to beloved Michigan high school teacher and baseball coach Brendan Harrison,
who had just finished his 12th and final round of chemotherapy when he was greeted at the hospital doors
with a big surprise.
That is Brendan's family, friends, students, players all gathered outside the Radiation Center in Saginaw
to cheer him on as he rang the bell and walked out those doors.
Coach Bubba, as he's known to his varsity baseball team, was diagnosed with colon cancer late last year.
After undergoing surgery, the 28-year-old started six months of chemotherapy,
which ended this week, and he's doing well.
He says he was overwhelmed with emotion when he saw that crowd and the players wearing their jerseys
lined up to give him a big hug.
And we are rooting for you too, Bubba.
