It's not every day you go to a Philadelphia Phillies game and leave with one of the most coveted souvenirs.

Well, this just might be my favorite story of the week because it is not every day that you get to
go to a Phillies game and leave with one of the most coveted souvenirs. A 10-year-old boy walked
away with Bryce Harper's helmet after fireworks flew on the field. Harper had tossed his batting
helmet into the stands after being ejected from the game. Hayden Dorfman says at first he thought
it was coming straight to him but then realized he was gonna have to muscle his way to the memento.
It like got bounced into the aisle and then like three or four other grown men went for it
and then like my dad knew he wouldn't get it because like he would not win a like tugging
game with three or four other grown men so he just started saying give it to the kid
and then that worked. What was running through your mind as you know you're going for this
and then you see adults going for it as well? I was just like backing up because I did not
want to get hurt. I did not want to get involved at the time. He did not want any of that. Well
Hayden says the surprises didn't stop there. After getting Harper's helmet he and his dad
went to go get some food and then suddenly they were summoned back to their seats.
There was like five or six security guards just waiting for us by our seats and they were like
Harper wants to sign it and so I gave it to them like 10-ish minutes later they came back with it
and I was just like whoa. I also love that you brought this helmet into school. Now did you come
in wearing the helmet? No. No okay but definitely got to show it to the to the squad right? They've
just been like surrounding me asking me like how how? He's so cute. As for superstitions Hayden says
he will wear the helmet every time the Phillies play to give Bryce what he calls winning powers
and he will be at game two of the wild card series to hopefully give Bryce those winning
powers that we all want so that they can get to the next round. Yeah and by the way leave it to
Bryce Harper to turn what was a pretty ugly moment yeah yeah really special moment. Yes just amazing. Awesome.
