Welcome to the Whole Food Plant-Based Cooking Show. Today, I'm going to show you how to make
a recipe that my husband created. He calls it Breakfast of Champions, and it really is.
So what I've got here is a punnet of organic blueberries, strawberries, a banana, walnuts,
and a mixture of ground flaxseed and chia seeds, and some cacao nibs, and some unsweetened almond
milk. And the one thing I want to stress first is because these are berries, and berries are
on the dirty dozen list, so that's, they're pesticide heavy. So it's really important to get
organic berries. Some of the other fruits that you eat in a day you don't have to worry about so much
if, you know, they tend to be a little bit expensive, but berries, it's really important
that you stick with the organics. So we're just going to start, and he likes to eat the entire
punnet because he's a big guy. I'm a bit smaller, so I would probably go with about half, but we're
just going to make his recipe like he makes it. So one punnet. I'm just going to chop up these
strawberries a little bit. So I've just got three strawberries here. You can put as many as you want
if you like more strawberries. And this recipe he's shared with all of his guy friends, and so far
they've all loved it. And he's even made it for a few just to convince them that breakfast doesn't
have to be anything complicated, especially when you're changing to a plant-based diet. People are
really confused about, you know, what can I eat if I'm not eating toast and bacon and eggs? What do I
eat? And this is super filling, and my husband's a big guy. He's six foot five, and this keeps him
happy until lunchtime. So that should be a testament to itself right there. If it can fill
up a big guy like him and keep him happy until lunchtime, that says a lot. Who needs bacon and
eggs? So we're just going to put a few walnuts in there. That's about your daily requirement of nuts
there. About a tablespoon of flax. And I like to grind up my flax and chia together so I don't
have two separate things. Just saves a little time. And they're both hugely beneficial.
And cacao nibs. I mean, a little bit of dessert with your breakfast. Sure, why not? Doesn't scare
me. And then about anywhere from a half cup to a cup of almond milk. It just depends on how much
cereal you have cereal you have here. I'm going to go with about,
this looks like because it's a full serving, it's going to be closer to a cup.
I'm just going to mix it up a little bit. And then we're going to go for the taste.
Get a little bit of everything. Look at that.
Breakfast of champions. I think I want to be a champion. See you next time, guys.
