A black hole is a region of space where gravity is so strong that even light cannot escape.
The boundary of a black hole is called the event horizon. When something crosses the event horizon, it falls into the singularity of the black hole. A singularity is an infinitely small and dense point where space, time, and the laws of physics no longer apply.

Several types of black holes are theorized by scientists. The two following are the most common.
(1) Stellar Black Holes: they are formed when massive stars die and collapse. They are about 10 to 20 times the sun's mass.
(2) Supermassive Black Holes: they are giant black holes that are millions or even billions of times larger than our sun.

Black Hole Facts
1. Black holes distort time.
2. The black hole closest to us is 1600 light-years from Earth.
3. There is a giant black hole in the galaxy's center.
4. Black holes are not always black.
5. We cannot directly see black holes because even light cannot escape from them.
