Buick Century is the model name used by Buick for a range of upmarket full-size automobiles from 1936 to 1942 and 1954 to 1958, as well as mid-size cars from 1973 to 2005.
This video will show you about the 1957 Buick Century R.
The original Buick Century began as the Series 60, then was renamed in 1936 as a shorter and lighter vehicle with the same engine as the larger Roadmaster and Limited series, giving it more performance while employing the Buick Special's shorter wheelbase body. It was Buick's partner to the top-level Roadmaster throughout the 1930s and 1940s, and it was available as a 2-door, 4-door sedan, and convertible. The Century name appeared on six generations of automobiles of varied sizes, performance, and trim levels. Buick introduced the Century Cruiser concept vehicle in 1969.

The Century Regal became a different model in the 1970s, and the market positioning of the two items shifted from year to year based on sales. The Century was Buick's 2-door coupe, 4-door sedan, and station wagon when it was upgraded to front wheel drive in 1982, and it had frequent modifications and feature enhancements as consumer tastes evolved over time.
