Morgan Aero SuperSports Review
In this classic episode of Jay Leno's Garage Charles Morgan, CEO of Morgan Motor Company, stops by the garage to show Jay the Morgan Aero Super Sport.
In 2010, the Aero Supersport superseded the Aero Coupe and Aeromax supercars as the pinnacle of Morgan's retro-style lineup.
Morgan designed an aluminum chassis and bodywork for the Supersport, allowing the lightweight coupe to weigh only 1180 kg. When coupled with the front-mounted 4.8-liter BMW V8, the Supersport had supercar performance of 0-60mph in roughly 4 seconds, with a top speed of 170mph.
The Aero is all about timeless design. The Supersport, based on the stunning Aeromax, has dual detachable roof panels for a targa arrangement. Perfect for cruising down a rural road in the sun - definitely not in the UK!

Morgan Aero SuperSports GT3 2009
In 2009, a new Morgan surfaced at the FIA GT3 Silverstone meeting, mimicking the previously launched Targa version known as the SuperSports. This, like the previous Aero 8 race cars, was developed and built by AutoGt Racing in Dannemarie, France.
The Aero 8 is a capable GT3 race car thanks to its capable aluminum chassis and BMW V8 engine. To meet safety rules, AutoGT installed bigger AP Racing brakes, a Hollinger 6-Speed sequential gearbox, and a complete roll cage.
