ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRINKS (Health & Wellness Recipe)

1. ELDERBERRY TEA
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Total time: 25 mins
Servings: 1 servings
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 tbsp dried elderberries
1 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a small pot. You'll notice the berries instantly start releasing their color.
Heat the pot over high heat. When the tea just starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
Once the tea is finished simmering, turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Strain the tea through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass and enjoy!
2. JAMMU JUICE (TURMERIC GINGER DRINK)
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Total time: 25 mins
Servings: 8 servings
Ingredients:
125 grams fresh turmeric, approximately 1 cup roughly chopped
20 grams fresh ginger, approximately 1 finger sized piece
4 cups coconut water
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons honey, or other sweetener
a pinch of black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
Slice the turmeric and ginger into thin disks. Feel free to leave the skin on.
Add the turmeric, ginger, black pepper and coconut water into a blender. Blend on high speed for about a minute, until it's a smooth mixture.
Pour the mixture into a pot and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Then add the lemon juice and honey, and give everything a good stir.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, nut milk bag or muslin cloth. Then pour into a glass bottle or jar and refrigerate. Enjoy chilled or warm.
3. GINGER SHOTS
Prep time: 10 mins
Total time: 10 mins
Servings: 2 servings
Ingredients:
¼ cup ginger root, washed, roughly chopped
⅓ cup lemon juice, from 3 to 4 lemons
¼ cup coconut water
pinch or two cayenne pepper
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in the pitcher of your high-powered blender.
Put the lid on the blender, and process until the ginger and lemon juice mixture is smooth.
Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer.
Press on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
Pour the strained liquid into shot glasses and drink all at once.
4. GREEN JUICE
Prep time: 10 mins
Blending & Straining time: 15 mins
Total time: 25 mins
Servings: 1 servings
Ingredients:
1 cucumber, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
3 leaves kale, removed from stem
1 cup spinach, baby leaves, loosely packed
1 piece fresh ginger, approx 1-2 inch chunk
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 apples, cored and sliced
Instructions:
Place all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender.
Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. If you need to, use your tamper to push the ingredients into the blades of your blender.
Pour the green juice through a fine-mesh strainer or nut-milk bag into a storage container. Press on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
Chill the juice before serving, then enjoy.
