Building a home today can be very expensive for many people. In the past, our forefathers had use ancient technique to build mud houses. According to a Jordanian academic named Hamed Yusuf Nazzal, building a mud is environmental- and budget-friendly. However, the practice is gradually disappearing and being replaced by concrete, cement, or wood, which has proven to be both costly and harmful to the earth.

In this video, I will introduce you The Mafraq Domes—a mud house located in Mafraq. This mud house is built out of natural resources like mud, straw, goat hair, and limestone. Today, it has become a place visited with interest by those who want to see the "modern interpretation of the old."

The mud construction material creates a healthy space for body and soul where its positive energy absorbs the negative mental energy of the human body. The natural wall insulation warms the house in the winter and chills it in summer; a great passive energy regulator.

Some people may think mud houses are very susceptible to damage when wet and do not last long. The truth is that they can last for hundreds of years, while modern homes built with cement or wood can only last about 50 years. And then it will be challenging to repair, and you need to destroy it to build a new one. And people are still living in these mud houses.
