Welcome morning and welcome back to the studio.
Today is Sunday, October 2nd.
Cannot believe that we have entered into the month of October.
It just feels like fall is already flying by so fast and it hasn't even really hit us
weather-wise here in Oregon.
We still are getting a bit of warm weather this month so far and the cedars sigh.
Yesterday was the 1st of October and I had a little pop-up market at Forager Vintage,
a shop that I've mentioned before.
I recently was able to put up some of my original artwork in her store for sale and for people
to come and look at while browsing around her shop.
And then she also, the owner, hosted a little pop-up market right outside her store and
there was about 5 or 6 of us artists with a table and all of our goods for sale and
it was just so much fun and I met quite a few of you actually which was so, so cool
and just such a surreal, surreal thing to be able to meet you guys in person and it
was a very successful day and it was just so nice.
Today is another fun day.
Jake and I are going to go to our first pumpkin patch of the season.
We definitely like to wait until October to do so.
We have one that has been our favorite for the past, this will be our third year going
and I'm very excited to go.
They have a cute little pumpkin patch for pumpkin picking but the real star of the show
for me is they have loads of you pick flowers and they're just usually always so gorgeous.
Marigolds, zinnias, dahlias, cosmos even and of course sunflowers.
I'm just so excited to go and to make a beautiful fall bouquet.
So that's the plan for this morning and where we're going to go to next but I also have
when we get back, I'm participating in Inktober this year, well kind of.
I'm making it my own 31 day painting challenge.
I'm not following the actual Inktober prompts but I kind of made my own prompt list taking
from a couple of other artists' lists that they created and just making a cozy list
of autumnal themed and focused ideas to paint all this month.
I've never officially completed an Inktober challenge and so I mean it's quite an undertaking
31 paintings.
So I have been working on them kind of early so that I can have some buffer days if needed
throughout the month.
So I want to paint a couple of the days.
I think I'm on day 6 and 7 and then this evening Jake and I are going to have a cozy night
in.
We're going to make homemade pizza and then we're going to watch the first Harry Potter
which I'm excited about.
It gives me all the autumnal feelings and it's just such a cozy and nostalgic watch.
So today is going to be a very fun and fall themed day and I just couldn't be more excited
and I'm very happy to be able to share it all with you.
So let us head out to the pumpkin patch.
Bye!
