Look guys, look who's here. Alex is here. Alex is here, everyone. Give it up for Alex. Okay,
housekeeping. We're not doing the mics today. I know we read the comments, y'all. We read them.
Believe it or not, we read them. And I know some people were complaining. So today,
we're going to try just the shotgun mic and see if you guys like that better. Please let me know
if you prefer this style and the mic dip. I just get too excited. I get too excited. Anyway,
have you guys noticed anything different other than the fact that Alex is here?
She's in a new gym. Look at this place. What kind of equipment should we get to
fill our empty space? So much room for activity. I know. Yes, this is a new space. We've also,
I think, officially decided, the team has decided that our next series is not going to be another
fitness challenge, Meg. It's going to be behind the scenes of Buff Chick and how we run the biz.
So the first video, we're going to do a full, big ass in-depth gym tour and tell you every piece of
equipment that we have, go into depth as to how much it costs and all that stuff. That'll be like
episode one. But yeah, do you guys want to see that? I love Christian's videos. Obviously,
I love Nick Bear's videos. I love Heidi's videos when they go behind the scenes of the business.
You get to see, meet the people on the team, all that stuff. We're doing a little bit of that
today because Alex is here. And this is an exclusive. Alex is our newest Buff Chick official
athlete. Boom. Boom. You might start hashing. Relax. I know. Anyway, we're going to train
together. Alex is a bodybuilder. I'm going to leave her info down below so that you guys can
check her out if you haven't already. Amazing, awesome person to follow. And let's go. I think
we start with getting Rachel a desk, huh? Rachel, she has, she has a desk. We treat everyone equally,
maybe not good, but equally bad. You know what I mean? She has a desk. She prefers,
she likes the new floor. Look how much more clean this side of the floor is than that.
So she chose the clean side, at least. I don't know what she's doing otherwise.
Well, you know, I ordered all these, so I like to sit and she's, she's enjoying the fruits of
her labor. Exactly. Exactly. Do you guys see this up here above me? Grid was trying to get better
angles because that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. And honestly, if I had to complain,
I'll talk about this on the gym tour again. That's why we use the mics because every once
in a while there'll be trucks. It's so freaking loud. So hopefully you can still hear me. That
is so ugly. I realized I'm sorry. We'll let the truck pass. Your orders are going out. UPS is
gone. Yeah. That is so disgustingly ugly. At least you can see that we do have air conditioning in
the offices. Why Rachel doesn't want to enjoy it. I don't know, but ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly.
We try to keep the angles down low, but now that the gym has changed, it's really hard to do that.
When I take a selfie in that mirror, all I can freaking see is not my juicy ass. I can see
that ---- in the background. Anyway, we're thinking about making some updates, but
how I'm understanding the difficulty of our new series. There are sometimes things that you can't
say because you don't, they're not final yet and you don't want to, we're thinking about maybe
moving. Do not tell the landlord. We're considering, we're weighing our options of moving.
So I don't want to put in more, sink in more cash into this place. Like the new floors and all that,
we can take those wherever we go, but yeah, I don't want to, we're deciding whether or not we
want to move. I do like this place, but it's not like number one best place I've ever been in my
life. And they're raising the rent, which I don't know why they would do that. I should be inflation
proof. Anyway, can we drink? What do you think I need to hit? You had to look at my physique. Alex?
It's perfect. Give her an overall, right now. Do they hold up like tent numbers, tents? No, it's not
the, it's not the Olympics. It's not a diving competition. I think you got to go through a
whole posing routine first as a warmup. Is that a warmup or is that a cool down? Alex competes in
bodybuilding. This year is her first year trying physique. Is that right? Correct. And she typically
does figure. So figure poses. Is that? No, I probably don't cross my legs. How do you look,
Jack? Heels together, toes apart. Whoa, look at her. Oh my gosh. You make me look like a little
puny chicken nugget. I'll stand over here. Yeah, you're not puny. I'll be over here. Yeah, you're
towards the center. I'm like on the way outside on the, on the lineup. Physique. Yeah, yeah, there you
go. Yeah. No, but look at what Alex does. It's a different level. So instead of rolling it back,
bring it a little forward so we can see that tricep. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Feels good. Alex is going to run us through her warmup. Uh, I'm not like the greatest warmer
upper, if I'm being perfectly honest, I usually just hit whatever's kind of feeling crunchy.
I got a little, little ouchies in my hips a little bit. That's a good, I mean, I like that approach
to warming up because we provide a warmup on Stronger By The Day and it sort of just is a
general idea, but I want people to understand like, okay, raise your heart rate, raise your
core body temperature, activate what you need to get the crunchies out. Mobilize, that's getting
the crunchies out, but activate. Most people probably need to activate their core just a
little bit. Maybe your glutes a little bit. It depends on your weak points and what you have a
hard time feeling during your workout and then potentiate. Start from zero and then add more
weight. Always potentiate just a little bit, not a lot, just a little. Okay. What's our first
exercise? Hamstring curls. Oh yeah. See, that's a lot of what I would do for warmup. I would start
with something that's a primary mover and give it an isolation exercise so that I can... I got a
lot of crunchies. We're, we're those kind of gals that are in their thirties, you know what I'm
saying? And as you get closer to this decade, this decade, the joints become a little bit more audible
if you know what I mean. Do I like 21? Do I like 22? Wait, that means she would have had her first
child at like... I have three kids, so... Uh, 13. I have a teenager. No, I'm 32. 32? Yeah, I'm 32, yeah.
Actually, I knew that. Me? 31. I win this contest until Diana walks in the room.
I'm 34. I've got the body of an 84 year old.
Just kidding.
Okay, guys, we've got a giant set, three exercises. We've got wide grip lat pulldowns,
lat pullovers with a three second negative, and supermans. Let me start with the lat pullovers
because in my last video, I was going ham sauce on these freaking things and then guess what I
noticed? Coning. So then I realized, okay, step it back, shorty. So let's watch. Okay, so coning is
basically, okay, I've got abs, right? Rectus abdominis, they're the six pack muscles that you
can see sometimes, I swear. In between my rectus abdominis is a tissue called my linea alba and
that during pregnancy, as you get bigger and bigger, gets thin. It gets thin and it stretches.
I think it stretches to be like seven times its size or something like that. Don't quote me on
that, but anyway, it stretches a lot to make room for baby and that stretches out and loses its
elasticity, it loses its strength. So I need to focus on, I don't want to be pushing up against
that tissue that's already stretched thin and weakened. I want to focus on bringing my TVA,
my corset muscles, wrapping them during exercises where my arms are overhead, where intraabdominal
pressure is increased and I want to avoid coning. I want to avoid pushing up against that already
weakened tissue. Anyway, so I'm going to go a little lighter. Let's see how this feels and then
when I try to avoid coning from happening, one thing that helps me is I go on exertion. So when
I'm making that sound, I'm thinking wrap the corset muscles around, bring the belly button back
and up and then pelvic floor contraction, okay? There's tons of videos on my channel about all
that. If that sounds confusing, watch the playlist and I'll help you. I'll teach it to you.
Okay, so anyway, that's what I'm focused on. It's a lot to put together, isn't it?
Having a baby is a lot of responsibility. I don't know about all that. What?
Grady, be my spot. Can you see it? Any coning? No, you're good.
