It's time, the moment of truth, y'all.
We're measuring the 25 meters that we need.
For a second, we thought it was 50 meters.
We're doing a test, right?
Part of the test is called sprint, drag, carry.
It's 25 meters there, 25 meters back.
You sprint, you drag the sled, you lateral shuffle,
you carry, farmer carry, and then you sprint again.
Honestly, we've been doing long and heavies
to prepare for this, so we've been sled dragging
and sled pushing all the way to the end of the driveway.
So, let's see how long 25 meters is.
One meter, two, three, four, 25.
Okay, so just to the end of 110, basically.
How do we feel?
Not bad.
I'm not mad.
I'm not mad at that.
Yeah, we've been doing sled ladders,
and bro, it's been brutal.
In 100 degree weather.
Yes.
Today, it's only, ooh, who's calling me?
90 degrees?
That's a balmy Texas day.
There are a ton of different ways you can use a sled.
In the ACFT test, this is how we're using it.
It'll burn your quads so bad,
and then our other favorite way to train sleds
is to push.
So, most sleds will have these little bars, these handles,
and then you can push.
You can also do a sled drag with a belt.
So, use a belt and then hook it on
to the end of your carabiner,
or like a tow strap, tow meaning like T-O-W,
like how you tow a car,
and then you can do the same thing.
That way, you're not pulling with your arms,
or you could even get a harness.
Let's see if I can set up this harness.
So, you can set up the harness.
You could wear it backwards and still backwards carry drag,
or you can drag it walking forward.
Tons of different ways to use a sled.
The actual ACFT test is far less strenuous
and far less heavy than what we've been training.
We've been trying to overload distance and weight,
and I think this 25 meter distance
is gonna feel like a walk in the park for us.
We're still gonna go heavy,
but I think we can lose these.
These add so much weight.
Probably like 30 pounds.
These are like 15 each, yeah.
You could kill somebody with this.
I wish somebody would try to walk up on me
while I'm doing my sled drags.
Today, you're gonna do the actual test.
Yeah, I'm gonna do the actual test,
and we're gonna see where I'm at.
In order to ace, I need a 159.
Grid seems to think that that's easy,
but every soldier that I've talked to on the internet
or in real life, they've told me
that this is the hardest test.
So, I feel like it's gotta be harder
than I think it's gonna be right now, right?
Should I do one slow and then one fast?
No, no, no, just go for it.
Just warm up and go for it.
Yeah.
One, two.
Wait, you counted to three, up to three?
One, two, three, yeah.
One, two, three, go.
One, two, three.
What do you want?
One, two, three, go?
How about go?
Three, two, one, go.
Okay, ready?
Three, two, one, go.
Go, easy, easy.
You've done this a lot of times, man.
Come on.
Push yourself, come on.
Bring it around.
That worked, man.
Right here, this is the hardest part.
This is the hardest part, go.
Come on.
Pull.
Almost.
You're good, you're good.
You're a little over a minute.
Come on, speed it up.
You have to blow up this sprint right here.
130, Meg, 130.
45.
Come on, Meg.
Take off.
Take off, come on.
I got 218, Greg got 213.
Yeah.
I have some room for improvement.
The sled drag, I think I just need to keep training.
I probably could've gone a little faster
on the initial sprint.
How do you go fast on the lateral shuffle?
I don't know.
But definitely the, what's that called?
The carry, I was slow.
Especially the first lap.
We might have to start training that.
Yeah, we haven't been training carries at all.
And also, I think a kettlebell carry
is gonna be a little bit easier than a dumbbell.
But 218, I just need to shave off almost 20 seconds.
Well, 218 with an extra 30, 40 pounds on the sled.
Oh yeah, true.
Right?
Yeah, true.
So, we're close, we're there.
Yeah, we're there.
Great, do you wanna try it?
Yeah, I can try it.
Okay.
All right, grid's up.
You need to time it on your watch?
Yeah, sure.
Ready?
Three, two, one, go.
Woo!
Baby, he's faster than a mug.
Yeah!
Go, go, go.
This is the hardest part.
Oh!
He's like, no, it ain't.
No, it ain't the fast, hardest part, girl.
Yeah.
See, he keeps those high knees.
Go, go, go, go, go!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Go, go, go!
Almost there, almost there.
Oh, oh!
Lateral shuffle, lateral shuffle.
Sorry.
Shuffle faster, shuffle faster.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, he's lateral shuffled the same direction.
Okay, carry.
Quick feet, quick feet, quick feet.
Go faster than me.
Where is he at?
Oh, he's crushing it.
Can't see my watch, but...
Yeah, you can run it.
Yeah, you should run.
You're at a minute 14!
Yeah, you can run, you can run.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
Okay, sprint, sprint, sprint!
Go, go, go, go, go!
Yeah!
He's amazing.
Whoa!
That's my friend, everyone.
That was really good.
Oh, ----.
140.
Oh, sorry.
Oh, happy 4th of July, aka Independence Day, everyone.
You know, America is not without its problems, okay?
It has a lot of them, trust me.
I live in Texas, okay?
But anyway, 4th of July sale, you guys.
Buff Chick is born and raised in USA.
So we are celebrating independence
from supplement companies that sell you bullshit.
Buff Chick would never, okay?
We have so many products,
and this is just our fulfillment room.
So this is where we immediately fulfill your boxes,
but then the warehouse is out here.
Boom!
So this is where we warehouse all the big pallets.
Everything's right here.
The home of Buff Chick here in Fort Worth, Texas.
We are having a huge sale for Independence Day.
We would love for you to try Buff Chick
for the very first time
or stock up on your favorite products.
Right now, I'm having the Buff Intra.
It's amazing.
We've got some BCAAs, some electrolytes,
all good ingredients.
We've got all kinds of stuff.
Pre-workout, pump, that's non-caffeinated pre-workout.
We've got whey protein, creatine.
We've got pre-pump flavored creatine.
We've got, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
we've got Buff Greens, Buff Reds.
We've got everything.
Merch?
Oh, we got merch.
Everything is gonna be 20% off.
That's one of our biggest sales of the year.
And then also we are discounting
this product right here, Flourish.
This product is amazing, okay?
My people who have periods, this one is for you.
It's got an active ingredient called Chaseberry.
Chaseberry has a lot of interesting research
on alleviating the symptoms of PMS.
And as someone who got her period again,
I'm gonna be leaning on this.
I'm breastfeeding right now, so I'm not taking it,
but you can get Flourish at an additional discount.
So it's kind of like already discounted,
and then it stacks on top of our 4th of July sale.
You wanna get a three-month supply
because all the research is shown on 90 days of use.
So you get three menstrual cycles
before you start truly feeling benefits.
I'm gonna put some customer feedback of this product.
Amazing results.
Check out the ingredients
and some of the research around the ingredients.
I think you guys are gonna like this.
It's on mega sale.
Grid, you know what we're talking about
when we say PMS, don't you?
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
I'll be on this, you know, all day.
Workout time.
It's time to lift some weights.
She is stressed riding these.
All right, let's get it.
Okay, we're doing three-position inverted rows.
I talk about this all the time on the channel,
so sorry if you've seen it before.
The different positions tell us where our hands need to be.
So we'll start with a pronated position, hands over hand.
Then hands facing each other in a neutral grip
and then finish with a supinated grip.
We do a four-by-four or a four-four-four.
So start here, hands facing one another,
and then your supinated grip.
Inverted rows are one of those great exercises
for those of you who don't yet have your first pull-up.
I love this one for it.
And easy enough to do with a TRX,
hanging from above like this,
or you could even just have a barbell in a rack.
Just make sure that's nice and sturdy
and use it the same way.
We're gonna practice some med ball throws.
This actually isn't a med ball.
This is like a slam ball.
So it's slightly different, but this is a 15-pounder.
What's the regulation?
Wait, okay, so it's a little bit heavier.
Amber, do you wanna show us how to do it?
Let's go.
Yo, three feet.
Here, let me show you how to do it.
Let's see how long.
I need 8.6 meters to ace.
Oh, ----, I'm way off.
Okay.
Gotta go, gotta go.
That's six meters.
Okay, my two tips for Meg.
Keep longer arms.
Going from bent arms gives you a lot less moment arm,
I guess.
And then the second tip is don't take like 12 squats
to warm up.
Well, I'm just trying to get a feel for it.
Yeah, but it's just tactic.
All right, let's see how far you can do it, bucko.
Try not to hit the Merc.
Whoa.
That was pretty good.
Ooh.
Oh, I got a tip for Grid.
Grid's like sandwiching it.
You're using your pecs to hold it
versus like cradling underneath it.
Oh.
He's trying to get that isolation though.
He's trying to.
You gotta just like kind of let these
just be in your sleep.
Kind of, yeah.
That was better than your first one.
We're doing some sleds.
We're starting to get closer and closer
to what the actual test looks like.
We're still going a little heavy on the sled pushes
and we don't yet have two matching 40 pound kettlebells.
So we're just doing dumbbells, but it's pretty close.
We've been timing it.
And earlier I got just over with the time that I need.
So taking off a little bit of weight on the sled.
I'm a little tired after this session.
Let's see.
You think I can make it?
Under two minutes?
Emmerich did the sleds with us too.
And what do you think?
Scale from one to 10.
How hard was it?
Oh, it was easy?
Oh, no, no, no.
I thought you meant how easy it was.
Yeah, exactly.
Three, two, one, go.
Rip it, rip it.
You can open this up.
Come on, come on, come on.
Emmerich, what's your time right now?
120.
120, man, come on.
120.
Keep going.
120.
Keep going, keep going.
130, 130, 130.
Get it under 145, under 145.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, open it up.
Come on.
They're nine, 40, 41, 42.
Okay, she's not making it 45.
One.
And time.
Not cool.
It's gonna be hard to do it right after that.
Oh, God.
Okay.
What was your work capacity, you think?
Like, you really put 100?
Not quite 95, but 93%.
I mean, considering fatigue too.
But that's good.
And I can just keep training that.
We did three sets of those today.
Probably my second one might've been the slowest.
That one was for sure my fastest.
We didn't record my second one,
but I felt like I pushed a little harder there.
Okay.
We did a little backyard makeover recently
because Emerald's birthday party is this week.
Anyway, Grid and I, it's the next day, obviously.
Grid and I just finished our two-mile run.
This was a breakthrough.
I keep forgetting the time,
but we did two miles in 18 minutes and 16 seconds.
That's really good.
Our average pace was nine minutes,
and I think our split, like our second mile was 837.
We were booking it, I think.
I feel like we were booking it.
That does give me a lot of confidence
going into more speed training
because we haven't even really been focusing on speed.
That was kind of just like a little check-in
to see where we're at after a couple weeks of training.
Honestly, the training has just been just running.
Like, we've just been doing like three-mile runs,
30-minute runs at relatively easy paces.
There've been a couple where we were pushing each other,
but that makes me super, super confident.
That's the end of this video.
Everybody, look at the flowers that I planted.
Aren't they so nice?
They say you gotta do thrills, something tall,
fills, that's these little ones,
and then spills.
So ideally, these will be hanging over eventually.
That's what the lady told me.
But anyway, thank you guys so much for watching.
Hopefully you enjoyed the video.
Don't forget that Buff Chick
has our 4th of July sale this weekend.
It starts, it's the entire 4th of July weekend.
I think it ends at midnight on Monday, 4th.
I hope you guys have a great day,
and I'll see you on the next one.
Bye!
