GOSHEN – Orange County officials, led by Executive Steven Neuhaus, are just back from a mission to Taiwan in an effort to entice business to set up shop in their county.
This is their second mission to the island nation that Neuhaus hopes to develop into industry for the county.
“I would take an R&D facility; I would take drone facility. The United States wants to start making good drones. The Chinese make them better than us, so the United States and our allies are trying to get caught up, and we want to get a piece of that action,” he told Mid-Hudson News. “We met with 20 different businesses. We told them that we’re open for business, they should come here.”
Neuhaus said Taiwanese business leaders have been to Orange County and are exploring potential future opportunities.
