Dallas — Britain’s royal family is facing renewed attention following claims in Charles Spencer’s forthcoming memoir concerning the period after Princess Diana’s death.

Spencer, Diana’s brother, alleges that then-Prince Charles reacted angrily during a telephone conversation after Diana died. He also says Charles later made remarks about Diana that Spencer found deeply disturbing.

Buckingham Palace responded to the claims, saying that grief can influence a person’s judgment and memories.

The controversy comes as members of the royal family continue with a busy schedule of public appearances.

Prince Harry attended the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards in London, while Prince William and Catherine traveled to the Isle of Bute in Scotland.
