Charlie Hunnam and Luke Evans Lead Prime Video’s New Crime Series ‘Criminal’ – Watch the Trailer!
Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Criminal, its upcoming crime drama starring Charlie Hunnam and Luke Evans.
Based on the graphic novels created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, the series explores an interconnected world of crime through a collection of linked stories.
The show will be released in two installments, each consisting of four episodes. Part One, titled “Coward,” is scheduled to premiere on January 13, 2027, while Part Two, “Lawless,” will arrive on January 27, 2027.
What Is Criminal About?
The story initially centers on two longtime friends, Leo Patterson (Charlie Hunnam) and Ricky Lawless (Gus Halper). While Leo is determined to escape the criminal environment in which they grew up, Ricky wants to carry on his father’s legacy as a notorious outlaw.
Their complicated past becomes even more difficult when Ricky’s older brother, Tracy (Luke Evans), comes back from the Army, bringing their family’s painful history back into focus.
Several other characters become involved in their lives, including Greta (Adria Arjona), a quick-witted car thief with connections to Leo’s past, and Mallory (Emilia Clarke), Ricky’s girlfriend, who worries about the lengths he might go to in order to survive.
With gun battles, robberies and tragic relationships at the center of the story, the characters must confront dangerous circumstances as questions emerge about who will survive.
The main cast also includes Richard Jenkins, Kadeem Hardison, John Hawkes and Logan Browning.
The series will feature an extensive lineup of guest stars, including Michael Mando, Garrett Hedlund, Patrick J. Adams, Pat Healy, Taylor Selé, Aliyah Camacho, Marvin Jones III, Michael Xavier, Dominic Burgess, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lawrence Kao, Katie Stevens, John Pyper-Ferguson, Robert Lee Hart, Aina Brei’yon and Kyle Davis.
