TOWN OF WOODBURY – Two State Police vehicles were damaged when a U-Haul box truck struck the rear of one vehicle parked on the shoulder of Route 17 and that was pushed into the second State Police car.
Troopers said the incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on September 8 on the westbound highway near exit 130A.
The police vehicles had their emergency lights on when the truck, traveling westbound, struck the rear of one marked troop car, causing it to strike the second one.
Both troopers were transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.
Police did not say why the truck crashed into the police cars and if any charges were lodged against the driver.
