POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Family Court Judge Tracy MacKenzie will host Dutchess County’s annual Patriot Day Memorial Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. on the steps of the Dutchess County Family Court, 50 Market Street in Poughkeepsie.  The ceremony marks the 25th anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks of 9/11.

The service’s keynote speaker will be retired FDNY Battalion Commander Keith E. Cartica, and it will include a ceremonial flag lowering and a moment of silence to remember and honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. All are invited to attend.

This ceremony has been annual tradition that began in 2002, on the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.   The event is hosted each year by Dutchess County Family Court Judges and includes remembrance of the Court Officers who lost their lives.
