WATERBURY, CT – A 21-year-old Carmel man was killed in a dirt bike crash in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Police identified the victim as Jose Eduardo.

Nine-one-one calls sent police and EMS to a span of Metro-North Railroad tracks for reports of a one-vehicle collision that involved a dirt bike.

A police spokesperson said on Tuesday that responders found Eduardo on the ground beside the bike showing signs of severe bodily trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said they received information that Eduardo was operating the dirt bike on the train tracks when he lost control and collided into a concrete wall attached to a railroad bridge.

The crash remains under investigation.
