The Cleveland Browns haven’t had many successful seasons under owner Jimmy Haslam and there is a reason for it. He meddles into a lot of situations. For some odd reason, Cleveland has named Deshaun Watson as the starting quarterback for the Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. There are a lot of Browns fans are furious that he is starting over Sheduer Sanders.

This is why the Browns will continue to be the Browns. Watson hasn’t performed well at all. They needed to cut ties no matter what the cap space situation was for the 2026 NFL season.

There are a lot of Browns fans who hate Haslam at the moment, and they want him to sell the team. There is no doubt that he is the worst owner in the NFL. This is what some Cleveland fans had to say about the team owner on Twitter:
Jimmy Haslam is the worst thing that’s happened to this city since Art Model.

jimmy haslam i’ll see you in hell

Remember, NFL teams stay bad because of ownership.
Jimmy Haslam (not football operations) has:
-Drafted Johnny Manziel
-Given Watson $230 million guaranteed
-Drafted Shedeur Sanders
There’s no way you can tell me this was Todd Monken’s decision.

Jimmy Haslam should be forced to sell the team

Cancel your season ticket renewals, stop buying the merch. Send a message.
Time is a precious commodity. Don’t waste it on a franchise that clearly doesn’t care about the fanbase.
Once again The Haslam’s are incredibly out of touch. #Browns

There will be better days ahead for the Browns organization when Haslam is no longer the owner of this football team. It is a sad day for Cleveland fans. They must be already counting down the days to the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA season opener already after the Watson starting quarterback news.
