GREENVILLE – Police have confirmed that a man’s body was found inside a residence off Greenville Turnpike in the Town of Greenville Thursday night after a fire that destroyed the home was extinguished.
Local, state and federal law enforcement are looking for 32-year-old Thomas David Ryan in connection with the man’s death.
Police communications Thursday night identified the victim as Robert Ryan.
“We are asking the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any sightings of Ryan or the victim’s gray 2016 Toyota Prius (New York registration HNH7671),” State Police Troop F BCI Captain Brad Natalizio said Friday.
He asked residents of the Greenville community to review any available home surveillance footage recorded from approximately 6 p.m. on August 6, 2026, through the overnight hours. Anyone who observed suspicious activity is asked to call the State Police right away. “Even information that may seem insignificant could prove valuable to the investigation,” Natalizio said.
The captain said anyone with information regarding Ryan’s whereabouts is urged not to approach him and to immediately call Troop F communications at 845-344-5300 or call 911.
Ryan is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen in the area of Greenville Turnpike wearing black sweatpants and a black t-shirt.
