President Trump almost had a major accident that could have cost him his life, and the FAA is now investigating what it is calling a safety incident involving the president’s helicopter.
I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of watching the people our tax dollars pay to protect the president have mishap after mishap. There have already been multiple attempts on President Trump’s life, including the horrifying moment when a bullet struck his ear and came within inches of potentially killing him. Yet these disturbing incidents continue to happen around the president. It is almost as though some of the people closest to him and responsible for keeping him safe are not doing their jobs.
According to reports, the latest incident involved President Trump’s Marine One helicopter coming closer than permitted to another aircraft over Washington, D.C. Air traffic controllers are believed to have mistakenly failed to halt commercial flights at Ronald Reagan National Airport when the military helicopter departed from the White House with President Trump aboard.
A “loss of separation” reportedly occurred between Marine One and a passenger jet that had recently departed for Florida. FAA regulations require aircraft in that area to remain separated by at least 1.5 miles horizontally and 500 feet vertically. According to sources cited in the report, Marine One and the passenger plane apparently failed to maintain that required distance. Thankfully, the aircraft were reportedly not on a collision course, and officials have claimed that the president was never in immediate danger.
That is certainly good news, but we are still talking about the life of the president of the United States. This was not some insignificant paperwork error. A passenger aircraft was allowed to fly closer to Marine One than federal safety regulations permit while President Trump was aboard. Thank God something more serious did not happen.
A Disturbing Arrest Near Trump’s Golf Course
Unfortunately, that was not the only alarming incident involving President Trump. Authorities also arrested a man at Trump’s Los Angeles-area golf course after he allegedly appeared to be monitoring security preparations ahead of a fundraiser the president was scheduled to attend.
According to authorities, the man had reportedly taken photographs and videos around the property and was carrying a 16-round magazine loaded with ammunition in his pocket. A search of his pickup truck in the golf course parking lot reportedly uncovered a loaded 9mm pistol, binoculars and a badge identifying him as a “security protection agent.” Law enforcement later searched his home and reportedly discovered a rifle, another firearm, magazines, ammunition, body armor and notebooks containing what authorities described as “concerning statements.”
Officials have not publicly released the contents of those statements. There have been rumors that they involved President Trump, but that has not been officially confirmed. Until authorities release more information, we cannot state that as fact.
However, considering where this man was found, what he was allegedly doing and the weapons and equipment authorities say they recovered, Americans deserve to know exactly what those notebooks contained and whether President Trump was the intended target.
The suspect is reportedly facing a federal criminal charge for possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle, a felony carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.
Thankfully, law enforcement caught him before anything more serious occurred. But once again, we are left looking at another troubling security situation surrounding the president of the United States. Why does this keep happening?
Trump Continues Calling Out Socialism and Communism
I believe President Trump remains a major target because he continues to speak openly about the dangers facing this country. I do not agree with everything the president does. There are areas where I believe he still has a lot of work to do. But one thing he has been extremely outspoken against is socialism and communism—ideologies that represent a very real threat to America.
During a recent speech, Trump warned that communism could be one of the greatest threats our country has ever faced. He explained how communist politicians promise people free homes, free rent and endless government benefits without telling them that everything must first be taken away from someone else.
Trump warned that the final result would be “death, squalor” and “poverty,” adding that people would ultimately be left with “a life of hell.” And history has proven that over and over again.
These systems are always introduced with promises of fairness, equality and free benefits. But they repeatedly end with the government controlling everything while ordinary citizens lose their property, their freedom and their ability to provide for themselves.
Serious Questions About Political Connections
President Trump also recently directed his criticism toward a Michigan political candidate, warning that communist and radical policies would bring crime, destruction and economic devastation to American communities. That discussion becomes even more troubling when you consider recent testimony from a senior homeland security and counterterrorism analyst.
While answering questions about the candidate, the analyst raised concerns about alleged family and organizational connections to groups he described as having ties to Muslim Brotherhood-linked organizations. The analyst specifically discussed the candidate’s father-in-law, alleging that he had previously served as president of CAIR Michigan and had participated in an Islamic Society of North America founders committee.
He also raised concerns about the candidate’s alleged ties to Emgage, an organization involved in voter mobilization and political candidate recruitment. According to the analyst, the organization had close connections to CAIR and was founded by a former CAIR member who had reportedly once appeared on a terrorism watch list and had served as a consultant to a convicted terrorist. Those are serious allegations. They are also claims that deserve further investigation and public scrutiny. As I said in my report, if what this analyst is saying is true, then we have a major problem on our hands.
Americans deserve transparency about the people running for powerful political positions, the organizations supporting them and the individuals influencing their campaigns. They also deserve answers about why dangerous security incidents continue happening around President Trump.
Thankfully, both of the recent situations surrounding the president ended without anyone being hurt. But considering the previous attempts on Trump’s life, these incidents cannot simply be brushed aside or dismissed as routine.
